Lovely if a bit heavy handed
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - C.S. Lewis,Pauline Baynes

This was a lovely read. A great opening line, lots of magic and adventure, and Reepicheep, a character that has shot to my favorites list.

I have issues with the fact that Aslan was mixed up with turning around every bad habit or decision, because it says redemption or improvement is impossible without religion to me. I like the concept of free will, and I like to think we can pick the right path without constant divine nudges, so a start docked for the heavy handedness.

“My owns plans are made. While I can, I sail east in the Dawn Treader. When she fails me, I paddle east in my coracle. When she sinks, I shall swim east with my four paws. And when I can swim no longer, if I have not reached Aslan’s country, or shot over the edge of the world in some vast cataract, I shall sink with my nose to the sunrise and Peepiceek will be head of the talking mice in Narnia.”

I love this mouse, and his bigger than a lion's heart.

Life intruded on my reading, but I'm close to finishing now and it's a beauty.

This so infuriated Reepicheep that in the end the number of things he thought of saying all at once nearly suffocated him and he became silent.

I hate when that happens to me. Like when your throat closes with tears from sheer anger.

THERE was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it.

That's a first line for the memorable list.

Also, it sounds positively Dahl-ish.

*burrows happy on couch* I think this will be a one-sitting kind of book.

Review, Review; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Review
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - C.S. Lewis,Pauline Baynes

Hey oh everyone and how's it going? How's life?  I'm doing pretty good myself, ya know just chilling and killing it with these reviews lol! So, as you can tell yes it is another Chronicle series review yay! Which is "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" so without further ado here it is.

The story is about Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace who are whisked away back to the world of Narina. Edmund and Lucy are greeted by their friend King Caspian who is now older. Caspian had men build him a ship and they are planning to sail it to the world's end where Aslan is from. So, together they set sail and have their adventures along the way!

This again, I have seen the movie and of course, the movie is far different from the book. King Caspian has grown and learned a lot.. Edmund and Lucy are still their sweet selves. Their cousin Eustace on the other hand is a pain and I laughed a little when he turned into a dragon, but he had learned his lesson and is better from it. Either way! this book like the ones before it, was really amazing and adventurous! I again recommend this one to read as well.

Well, that's it from me I'll be back on Friday with another review yes I know, give the reviews a rest already! LOL Well, please bare with me a bit more. Until then, I hope you all have a great day/night where ever you are.

YAY!!!
