That's the problem with them, isn't it? :D
Well, all the most popular suggestions I either have or have access to, luckily!

Good!
'Gulp' (Mary Roach), 'The Violinist's Thumb' (Sam Kean) and 'The Hidden Life of Trees' (Peter Wohlleben) are three I've wanted to read for awhile and would be up for a joint buddy read.

OK, cool. Added your votes to the list!

Thanks! I'm still stumbling around trying to find the best place to comment. :)
Might I suggest the Future Reads thread?
This is where TA compiled the links to the list of suggested books. It would be easier to have comments in one place.
There's a discussion thread for the future reads:

http://booklikes.com/thread/3077/future-reads

It would be kind of nice if we could bring together the votes and discussion there -- makes it easier to follow everybody's thoughts (and easier for me, too, to keep track of votes for the various books).

I see BT was quicker than me, as usual. :) Thanks!

Yup, I found it right after I commented here and considered a duplicate comment, but then saw TA's reply here saying she'd already added my votes. :)

Oooh, no, please don't duplicate comments! The discussion has been going on in several different places up to now, which is fine because it really got the conversation started and made people post their suggestions etc., but it's also becoming a bit of a job to keep track of who's endorsing which reads, what with folks commenting on individual books in several places at once (while obviously for voting purposes it would be unfair to double-count their comments just because they're being made in several places) ... so anyway, long story short, while it's great to see everything being put together in one place, please don't replicate anything there that you've already said elsewhere!
Sorry to nit-pick, but is there any way to put all the separate discussions (e.g. part 1-5) about Invention of Nature in one "folder" and then add a new "folder" for each book and other discussions? Otherwise things are going to get messy if we end up reading a lot of books with various sections?
My review for The Invention of Nature.

There was just too much to write.

No - there isn't. I've been gnashing my teeth about this since I set this up and realised what was going to happen. BL doesn't have an organisational level between the group and the thread.

It IS going to get messy and I can't figure out how to get around it. The book club setup is designed to only be tied to one thread (that's why our section discussions don't appear on the recent comments of the book club main page), but for thick, non-fiction books, using only one thread will be its own kind of hot mess.

So, either we stick with one thread per book, or we continue using multiple threads and I can come up with a naming convention to try to make them easy to distinguish. Previous book threads will fall to the bottom eventually (as they're sorted by date), but still... very untidy.
I was thinking more along a heading (major "folder") with all the sub threads underneath so you can click "invention of nature" and then find all the threads about that book in that "folder" and choose which one you want to click on to read the comments? That way you won't have to look at stuff you don't want to.
Need help?
