Good Story and Characters
A Friendly Engagement (Entangled Select Contemporary) (Friends First) - Christine Warner

Omar is a workaholic and owns Esterly Finance. Being a workaholic seems to be a trait he had inherited from his dad. But then Omar has a potential client -William- he can’t quiet connect with and he thinks it’s because Omar is single/ Devi is his friend and employee. Neither Devi or Omar has ever been in love. Omar suggests Devi become his fake fiance. Devi hates lies and lieing but she will get a large raise that will help her her find her missing father she had never met. As the story goes on their is a growing attraction between Omar and Devi.

I liked the story a lot. There was a good plot and this was well written. Also was a quick read which was fine. I did feel that Omar’s and Devi’s friendship turned into love a little too quickly. More like lust at first anyway. I liked all the ins and outs in the story especially between Omar and Devi. I recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Friends and lovers
A Friendly Flirtation (Friends First Book 3) - Christine Warner

This is the 3rd book in the Friends First series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and further understanding of series involvement, I recommend reading the books in order.

Allison and Jared have known each other through her brother.  Jared has stayed away from Allison since her family is basically the only one that he has ever had that truly accepted him.

Jared is being asked now by Allison to help her be more outgoing and make friends.  She wants his help to know what attracts a man for a woman.  She is sick of sitting on the sidelines while everyone around her has a life.

This was a terrific read!  I think this series is phenomenal and have enjoyed every book!  I love the characters, the banter, and the heat.  Very hot and sweet book.  I give this story a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Friends and more
A Friendly Arrangement - Christine Warner

This is book # 2 in the Friends First series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For complete understanding of series and characters, I urge the reader to follow the order intended.

Roth and Holly are best friends in every sense.  They live close by, they play games together, and they commiserate with one another.  They are sick of being set up by well meaning friends and family.  It's time they change the odds.

Holly does not want a commitment.  Neither does Roth.  Can they play the ultimate scheme and not come out burned?  If someone is your everyone, doesn't that mean their really your everything?

Such a fun and romantic book.  The characters are easy to read.  I love best friends stories and this series just keeps me happy.  Such great characters with strength!  I cannot wait to read the next installment.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

A Friendly Engagement (Entangled Select Contemporary) (Friends First) - Christine Warner

Devi has worked for Omar Esterly for 6 years.  She knows him well.  They are good friends and work well together.  He decides to let her in on his biggest plan.

Omar tells Devi that he needs an engagement to win a client.  He never plans to marry, since he saw what it did to his parents.  Devi is not planning on children or a hisband for similar reasons.

Together, they are quite the powerhouse.  At work and at play.  She is the only one who seems to get through to the closed off boss who makes her skin tingle.  The sparks are flying everywhere!

A well paced and sweet romance. I found this a great start to the Friends First series and hard to put down.  Only 99 cents right now!  I give it a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

One kiss can change your life...

Allison Hall is fed up with being a social outcast. Even at the tech company where she works for her brother and his best friend, Jared, she's the invisible nerdy girl. What she needs is confidence—and that requires a makeover and dating tips. And she knows just the man to help…

Jared Esterly is shocked when Allison asks for his assistance and turns her down, knowing that her brother—his business partner and best friend, Nick—would kill him if he dated her, even if it is just for practice. But when Al’s attempt to make changes on her own fails spectacularly, Jared reluctantly steps in. Things heat up quickly, and soon lessons move from the salon to the bedroom.

When overprotective big-brother Nick discovers Jared is dating Allison, their friendship and business partnership sour. Allison, consumed by guilt, must make a choice: stay with Jared, even though that means ruining his friendship with Nick and possibly his career, or leave the one man who sets her on fire.

She leaned her forehead against his chin, then tilted her head back, parting her lips and inviting him in for another kiss.

And he wanted seconds. More than he’d ever imagined. The soft blush creeping over her face, the way her breasts strained against her blouse as she tried to regain her breathing only encouraged him. Holy. Fuck. With her it’d be too easy to forget where the hell they were. And he didn’t like an audience. Not now. With Allison, not ever.

But that didn’t stop him from running his thumb over her bottom lip. For a second he lost sense of where they were when her eyes grew dark and her lashes fluttered gently over her skin. She looked so beautiful, and that protective urge— or maybe he should just call it what is is…lust—overtook him. He couldn’t picture her with anyone but him. Fuck. He didn’t want her with anyone else. Screw Nick. He’d deal with him later.

If anyone would teach Allison how to please a man, let a real man do the job.

Him.

She was ready, so was he. He was willing, and so was she. And they were both adults. “Al, I don’t want you with any of these men.”

She sighed, sagging against him. “Are we really going to have this conversation again? I—”

He took her mouth in a hard kiss, parting the seam of her lips with his tongue and thrusting inside, swallowing her gasp. She melted against him. He slid his hands down her throat, past her shoulders, and lower still until he curved his arm around her back and squeezed her rear. She smiled into their kiss, and this time he melted. “Do I need to rephrase?” he whispered against her mouth.

She shook her head, their mouths still touching. “I really only wanted one man in this room, but I didn’t think he wanted—”

You better be talking about me.” He leaned back just far enough so he could watch the way her emotions flickered across her eyes. Excitement. Uncertainty. Acceptance. She nodded, her lips parted and moist.

Are you telling me—?”

I’m telling you I’ve come to my senses. Or lost them completely.”
