The Debt (The Billionaires Club #1) - Jackie Ashenden

Ellie takes the chance to drive a billionaire around.  He could be the key to saving her family's business.  If only she knew how attracted she would be to such a man.

Ash is a take no prisoners kind of billionaire.  He says it like it is and his word is his bond.  He is also a special kind of man.  The kind who would fall for a beauty of a driver.

This book started out slow and I wondered how it would get there.  Then I got a few chapters in and the pace not only picked up, but the story just about blasted off the page.  I fell for these characters and could not put it down.  I am excited for the next book in the series.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

4 Star Debt
The Debt (The Billionaires Club #1) - Jackie Ashenden

He’s a notoriously ruthless property developer who never forgives a debt. And Ellie Little has two days to convince Ash Evans not to pull his investment in her father’s company. The only way to get close to the bad-tempered billionaire is to pose as his chauffeur but Ash turns the table and soon Ellie is posing as his girlfriend.

The first book in this new billionaire romance series is an emotional, gripping and engaging read that stirs and delights the senses. The chemistry between these two strong, vivid characters sizzles with an electrical charge that singes readers with the turn of every page, but the relationship between Ellie and Ash has sparks flying and takes a lot of hard work and even that doesn’t guarantee this HEA as the past could derail it forever.

The story is fast paced and full of flying sparks, heated clashes, and super-heated passion that delights readers while the emotional angst that flows from the pages as both the hero and the heroine have some issues to resolve but the hero in this case has some anger issues that threatens the romance even though he’s show his good side. And readers can’t help but become caught up in this romance and lose their hearts as Ash finds the sexiest way possible to collect on a debt and win the heart that he doesn’t know what to do with.

He’s the owner of a billion-dollar security company and leader of the 11th Hour who spends his life completing dangerous missions for others. But Jacob Night has one personal mission he has yet to complete, finding his missing brother. She has no memory of who she is or her life before she came to work for Jacob Night and she’s not sure she wants to remember. When she and Jacob are ambushed by men who have come to kill her for sins she can’t recall, she has no choice but to face the past and once everything comes to light, they may not escape with their lives intact, let alone the hearts.

Jacob Night’s story is one well worth waiting for. The characters are strong and supremely convincing as Jacob tries to pry Faith’s memories loose while struggling with some off the charts chemistry and a combustible relationship that has missiles exploding every direction. Lots of gripping emotional turmoil and fiery passion flows from the pages of very intense and highly entertaining romance, where readers can’t decide if they should chuckle, sigh or duck for cover.

As Faith body begins to betray her by remembering the past, Jacob continues to egg her on hoping for a breakthrough in recovering her memories which keeps dialogue and suspense quite volatile. While, the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of exhilarating action and thrilling excitement with some jaw dropping twist that has readers gearing up for more with turn of the page throughout this highly explosive and intense read. Jacob and Faith take not only each other by storm but also the readers with hurricane force winds.

Not For Me
The Billionaire Beast: A Billionaire Romance (The Billionaire Fairy Tales) - Jackie Ashenden

Nero de Santos was as beastly as they come, his only humanity is his interest in computers and his taste for fine art. Not that he particularly cared about being human and it was overrated in his opinion. When Nero had a horrible childhood and had been abused. He had deep scars from his past. He hadn’t left his home in ten years. Nero was looking at his security feed of his front door and the woman standing there very corporate looking , very secretary. Which he expected as she was here for an job interview. In the last six months he’d gone through at least ten assistants and it was getting hard to find anyone who would actually work with him. He preferred to hire the best, but the best wouldn’t even imply. Phoebe Taylor was the woman at his door.  There was something that intrigued Nero about her but she had a two year gap in her resume. Nero wanted what he wanted when he wanted it and if his assistants either couldn’t or wouldn’t do their jobs and assist him 24/7 , than he got rid of them. No second chances. Many only a week, barely a month. Hiring new people was getting old. Money tended to solve most problems in his experience, he could always up the salary he offered again. Being the illegitimate son of Cesare Santis, owner of D S Corporation- one of America’s biggest and richest defense and protection company wasn’t without perks. Nero headed the technology branch of the company. Phoebe needed a lot of money and fast to pay her fiance’s hospital bills as he had been in a coma for two years and she was paying the bills for his care. Phoebe had to stop herself from checking her phone as Charles- her fiance- had developed an infection which was worrying as the immune systems of coma patients weren’t robust. Becoming nero’s assistant would provide the money Phoebe needed. Nero’s office was designed to intimidate anyone in it. It might have gotten to Phoebe if she hadn’t spent the last two years if different hospital waiting rooms , dealing with officious and self important medical staff. Phoebe didn't like her punch-to- the- gut response to Nero. She rarely let people get under her skin, but she had a feeling if she wasn’t careful he could. She better be cautious for the rest of her time around Nero. As Phobe gets to know her boss and the damage from his past, she wants to help him. Nero demands two women and when they are at his home he only kisses one can’t physically respond to either of them and has them leave and goes to  Phoebe.

I really couldn’t get into this book. Nero was just to mean and Phoebe wouldn’t stick up for herself. She would say no them give in why bother to say no? This also dragged for me at time . I just couldn’t finish this it wouldn’t hold my attention. So I am sure others will like this book it just wasn’t for me.

Good Story and Good Characters
The Dangerous Billionaire: A Billionaire Navy SEAL Romance (The Tate Brothers) - Jackie Ashenden

Commander Sullivan “van” Tate hated a lot of things about NYC but Leo’s Alehouse wasn’t one of them. Especially and he and his two brothers discharged their foster father’s -Noah- ashes from the Brooklyn Bridge. Noah was a oil tycoon but he had three foster sons. He would have loved his sons holding at wake in honor of him at a military bar. It would have appealed to the rebel in Noah. all three brothers were Navy Seals Van being the oldest and Wolf the youngest and there was Lucas. Wolf had taken his father’s death pretty hard and was looking for a fight but Van managed to talk some sense into him . the media would have the fight all over the place and that wouldn't be good for the Tate name. The were all raised to do right by the tate name. The boys all even went into the service at eighteen. The media is looking for anything concerning their  father and them as Noah had died under mysterious circumstances. Van was the head of the Tate family now. Getting things on lockdown until the situation had been handled was now his job. Lucas was a sniper in the Seals and he was one of the most controlled people Van had ever met. Noah had been the first one to adopt and give the three boys a proper home. He hadn’t been particularly loving at least not to van but he had been a father to them. Even if he wanted more from Van than he could give. His death had still been a blow all three brothers had never seen coming. The brothers had all been in the military ten years nowe bit would have to get out and do their duty by their father. Their fathers lawyer had handed van an envelope and inside was Noah’s last will and testament and then there was another three envelopes with with each man's name one for each. Now van handed his brothers their envelopes he had not even read his. Inheriting his father vast fortune and Tate Oil all fell on Van’s shoulders now. His brothers were both on the board of directors also. Every since Noah adopted them- Van had been eight- he had been very clear that the purpose of all the boys was to protect  the Tate legacy. Van was different since the Columbia incident where Van messed up and a woman lost her life. Van had than decided to stay a seal instead of joining Noah at the helm of Tate Oil. Noah hated NYC and he hated being stuck behind a desk. In the military he had loved the danger and the thrill of the armed services. Also the comradeship and loyalty of his team. Chloe went to NYC to meet with her oldest foster brother Van , it had been eight years since he ha been to the ranch. He just stopped coming there. She wouldn’t allow herself to think about her father. She found out after the funeral the ranch she loved and had managed for the last few years hadn’t went to her as her father had promised Van got everything. Chloe was angry but also grieving. She had grown up on the Tate ranch, had spent her entire life on it and for the last ten years poured everything she had into it. Wyoming and the ranch had given Chloe everything she had ever needed. Van had been left with the task of protecting Chloe from her unknown real father -Cesare de Santis who had been Noah’s long time enemy. He now had a plot for revenge and also the family secrets Chloe needed protection and Van was to provide it.  Van’s not happy being away from his team or about being in charge of tate Oil. Chloe had always had a crush on Van even though she was ten years younger than him. Van had paid attention to Chloe when she was younger when he came to the ranch unlike her cold foster father. Now she is with Van again there is a strong sexual attraction between them. Van worried after costing the woman in Columbia her life that he may not be able to protect Chloe.

I enjoyed this book. I really liked the success and drama in this book. I liked Chloe and Van together but he needed to get himself together. I felt this was well written. I liked the pot and pace of this book. But I do think it was brought up way too many times Van being a Seal. We know that. There are some unanswered things in this book like why van stopped coming to the ranch eight years ago. I don’t like the lies and deceit Noah said and used to his foster sons and daughter. I loved the characters and the twists and turns of this book and i recommend.
