Love Undercover (Covert Liaisons, #1) by L.K. Shaw
Love Undercover (Covert Liaisons, #1) - L.K. Shaw

Love Undercover prides itself on intrigue. Shaw makes sure there's always a twist that turns out to be bigger than the one that came before. Everyone has an agenda and it's up to the reader to figure out the score. Ines and Brody are playing a dangerous game in a world made up of booby traps, boogeyman and cutthroat drama. Love Undercover is my first LK Shaw read and it's an adrenaline rush. From nailbiting action, breathtaking, danger Shaw delivers an intense, edge of your seat, page turner.

Trouble
The Attraction Equation - Kadie Scott

This is the 2nd book in the Love Undercover series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and have a better understanding of the series, I recommend reading this great series in order.

Gina & Max meet under some really odd circumstances.  Him being with the FBI, you do not expect him to do what he has to do to avoid his mom.  Gina is shocked and amused.

Max needs someone to be his girlfriend right away.  Gina nearly falls into his lap.  Together they find that with a little bit of hope, comedy of errors, and a small furball that anything can happen.

This was such a great story.  From start to finish I was enthralled and could not put the book down.  I love the banter, and this is a sexy story from start to finish.  These are really great characters that I hope we will see again.  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Crazy Undercover Love
Crazy Undercover Love - Nikki Moore Thank you to the Gosling Girls for letting me take part in this blog tour. Harper Impulse hasn’t been around long and I haven’t read as many of their books as I would like but the ones I have I have really LOVED. I’ve been in need of a book like this for a little while so as soon as I read the synopsis I jumped at the chance to review it.

The main character in this book is Charley. She is a very stubborn but also very hard working girl. She left the little village she grew up in, against her parent’s wishes, and worked hard to get a job she loved. She has a flat she loves with her best friend Jess and life was well life was perfect. Then enters Tony. He is a slimy, evil, little s**t and he ruins everything.

After months of trying to get her life back on track Charley is desperate to say the least. Then her friend Amy has a crazy idea that might be Charley’s last chance. So then Charley is off to meet Mr CEO Alex Demetrio. What Charley doesn’t factor into her equiation is that Mr CEO is hot. Not your average yeah he’s pretty good looking no, no, he is sexy as hell/drop dead gorgeous/the only man she has ever really really wanted and the one man she can’t have. I loved Alex, I could see why Charley was in such a sticky situation. Apart from being hot he’s too worried about what everyone thinks of him and just a tiny bit of a workaholic.

I started this book thinking oh I know how this book is going to go down but around every corner Nikki threw a curve ball. Then I would think yeah I know it will end like this and then BAM! another curve ball. It was great. I was constantly kept guessing. I urge you to click that little link up there and buy this book it will be the best 99p you have spent in a long time.

Crazy Undercover Love
Crazy Undercover Love - Nikki Moore It was a great read! I somehow love books with CEOs, especially if they're like Alex in this book, sexy, charismatic and sweet.
The last few chapters I like a bit less, though. The heroine, Charley was too pushy and needy, I would have liked if she was stronger and more independent.

Overall, a great read. Can't wait to read the author's other books.

'Crazy, Undercover, Love is jam-packed with complex emotions.'

Charley takes a job as a temporary PA and accompanies Alex Demetrio; billionaire and CEO of Demetrio International on a business trip to Barcelona. The perfect setting for little workplace dalliance perhaps but all is not what it seems.

Charley has an agenda of her own after a workplace scandal left her reputation, finances and life in tatters. Alex on first acquaintance is the stereotypical sexy, arrogant alpha male unhappy that Charley is a woman when he only employs male assistants. Charley's instant attraction to her temporary boss makes her want to know more despite the risk to her plan. The man behind the facade is complex, frustrated, secretive and vulnerable.

Cleverly interwoven flashbacks reveal why Charley took the job without slowing the story's pace. Close proximity and sizzling chemistry deliver the required sensual heat between the unlikely couple.

Written in the 1st person from Charley's point of view it's easy to connect with the misjudged heroine although her introspection is a little overpowering towards the end. Alex's motivations are harder to fathom and add to the plot's numerous twists and turns. I did guess his deepest secret well before he revealed it creating dramatic irony.

The structuring of the plot over the four-day trip made for easy reading. The ending was too drawn out for me but it was a good one.

I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley
