Full of vampire crazy sauce. Megalomaniacal vampire with homicidal urges who wants to use magic for more power, check. Namechecking famous people from the past who became vampires and whose nicknames are related to their former lives, check. Famous item that is a source of power, check. Michele Hauf is good at writing entertaining books that don't stand up to a huge amount of scrutiny but the ride is fun.

Dante D'Archangelo is looking to buy a faberge egg that he lost a few years ago in an auction. Kyler Cole is a much younger vampire who also wants it, when the two meet sparks fly. The adventure divides it's time between Paris and Venice and is a lot of fun.

This was a little different. Luke and Merit are celebrating their 1 year wedding anniversary when they are attacked by vampires. Merit dies, leaving Luke a vampire. He mourns her. A year later, she Falls. His inability to let her go is keeping her from getting her halo.
This was nice, but had a lot of insta-love. I say that because Merit had no memory of Luke or her life from a year prior, but is drawn to him. Nice resolution. I also liked the tie-in with Francois (a homeless man Luke helps) at the end.

Savin and Jett are strong, attention-grabbing characters that easily pull readers in and refuse to let go as they struggle to survive and carve out hope for their happily ever after. The romance is on the sweet side and full of hot and steamy passion and sizzling chemistry but the relationship is full of emotional turmoil that comes from dealing with the past and what it means for them and it also has a major obstacle that must be overcome – one that just might be their undoing.

The excitement and thrills keeps readers glued to the pages of this steady to fast paced plot as Savin discovers that the childhood friend he thought he’d lost forever has escaped after years of captivity. The intriguing Jett must overcome her tragic past, survive in this modern world and convince Savin that she can defeat the darkness inside. But with a few surprising twists this Savin and Jett’s world become more complicated and danger closes in. The story and characters are well developed and brought to vivid life with well written words that capture the imagination and make it easy for the readers to picture each and every scenes as it happens. The story also has a brilliantly suspenseful conclusion to the conflict involving the Queen of Demonia that had me biting my nails in expectation.

Dante and Kyler, unbeknownst to each other, set out to steal liberate a Faberge egg.  It turns out this egg is special.  It holds a spell that will have negative consequences for vampires.

Kyler steals liberates the egg.  Dante intends to steal liberate it from her.  When they meet, sparks flew and before you know it, someone else has stolen the egg from them!  I liked the push/pull, the chemistry of two characters that were incredibly attracted to each other, but each had unknown motives.  As the layers come off, trust starts to take place.  

But then there were two, yes two, kidnappings.  I also thought of Cat and Bones every time Dante called Kyler "Kitten."  They are most definitely not Cat and Bones.  

And while the plot moppet does provide some of the funniest scenes (well he doesn't really have a name and the heroine, Mireo Malory, spends some time suggesting names while our hero, Lars Gunderson, rejects them.This is book 3 in the Decadent Dames collection and while it probably would make more sense of some of the character interactions, it does stand well alone.

The plot moppet is pretty superflous with the rest of what's going on in these characters lives.  Lars is ill. It looks like he's going to suffer from the same thing his father did (now I know a lot of doctors who would want to study him extensively! I mean, werewolves are supposed to be healing machines! This sounds like a nasty, short span, werewolf version of MS. Her healing powers can help the symptoms but it's progressing and now that she's found him she doesn't want to let him go that quickly.

She wants more life and in order to do so has to eat a Vampire's heart, she wants to find a vampire who deserves death, preferably the one who killed her mother, after all she has more beer to brew!  

The degenerative disease sub-plot is interesting and I'd like to see more disability with supernatural. Sneaks off to write some possible plot bunnies in the old plot bunny ranch. I did like how it resolved though and I want to see Lars build Mireo a comparable bathroom to the one she started with.

This is a supernatural, romantic suspense, werewolves, witches, vampires, and possibly a few others; I'm using it for Witches.
