Gotham City Sirens #20
Gotham City Sirens #20 - Peter Calloway

3 Stars, Borrow it

Self Purchase, Comixology

Most of the issues of Gotham City Sirens up until this point had been pretty decent.  This is the lowest rating I’ve given any of them (I think). This is all about Harley going after the Joker. Nothing with Catwoman or Poison Ivy, which I really think was the point of this series.  While this wasn’t terrible, it still needed work. I felt like it was disjointed in places and the digital jumps didn’t seem to work right in all of the places. I will keep reading them as I think I got all of them but if they get worse, I may give up on them.

Description (Comixology): "Hell Hath No Fury" part 1! Harley Quinn heads to Arkham Asylum, but this time she's breaking in to find Joker and pay him back for all the abuse he's dished out over the years. Can the Sirens rein her in before it's too late, or will Harley have the last laugh?

3.5 Stars, Borrow it

Still not impressed with Zatanna as a character.  But in any case she offers to wipe Celena’s brain of Batman and his identity but she refuses. The girls find a  new home with the help of the broker who is somewhat amusing. Harley sort of snaps and decides to go take out the Joker as he has ruined her life and that is where the issue ends.   I was not impressed with this issue very much but it was good enough for a 3.5 rating plus, I already bought the rest of the series so I may as well finish reviewing the series even if I feel its going downhill slowly.

4 Stars, Buy it

Not a big fan of the cover art on this one. Too busy.  This is the last one of the tie in with Batman.

Not as good as the previous two I just read but still decent.  It doesn’t answer the question if Catwomans memory of Batman was ever wiped or not.

4.5 Stars, buy it

The girls and guests are trying to rescue Selena from her kidnappers who are trying to find out who Batman is.  Selena is rescued Talia drops a little bit of a bombshell.  Still not a fan of this artist, but the storyline is fantastic. I’m sad it was a limited series though I still have a bunch to get through. And for Pete’s sake its left on another cliffhanger. I wonder if I can make it through another one today??

Gotham City Sirens Vol. 4: Division
Gotham City Sirens Vol. 4: Division - Peter Calloway,Guillem March

Finally some Harley Quinn action in this last volume. Harley decides that enough is enough and breaks into Arkham Asylum to kill the Joker...how it goes...well...you chose if you want to see the spoiler or not...;)

(spoiler show)

There was of course also some action for Ivy and Catwoman, including one issue that just concerned Selina and her sister. It felt very out of place since Harley is hell bent on killing the Joker in this volume, but let Catwoman have a whole issue just dealing with her family problems...at least Ivy knows where her priorities lies...

Unfortunately this was the last volume, I would have loved to read more...
