Review ~ Decent read
Blood is Thicker - Orlando A. Sanchez

Book source ~ Kindle Unlimited

Vampire hunters are in town and they’ve taken Michiko Nakatomi, leader of the Dark Council. Simon Strong and Tristan Montague are her only hope of survival. Well, it was nice knowing you Chi. Lol Just kidding.

Simon and Monty are once again off and running with multiple problems to solve and none of them easy to accomplish. The world is interesting and the characters are pretty good, but Simon’s snark can be a bit much at times. In any case, I still consider the books in this series as a nice getaway from real life and I just can’t resist Peaches, the hellhound puppers. Who’s a good dog? Peaches!

MY 5# BOOK REVIEW OF THICKER THAN BLOOD by Zeece Lugo
Thicker Than Blood: Book 2 of Angel's Gu... Thicker Than Blood: Book 2 of Angel's Guardian series - Zeecé Lugo

This is the second book in the Angel’s Guardian series.  I’d been waiting for this installment with much anticipation, and I wasn’t disappointed.  I loved Angel and Max in the first book.  Who doesn’t love a good Beauty and the Beast story?  But this one went above and beyond.

At the end of book one, Max was being forced to return home and reclaim his role as King of the Vamps.  A role he has run from for decades.  With Angel and her children at his side, he goes to face his family.  Part of his family loves him and want him to take his rightful place. The other half want him dead so his Uncle, the Regent, can pass the throne onto his own son, Toma.  But Toma has plans of his own which ends up endangering everyone he loves.

Two minor human characters from the first book, Jonathan the lawyer and Devian Harris the Mercenary, return for bigger roles. I adore what Zeece did with their characters. Every vamp book I’ve ever read was about humans falling for vamps. What if it was the other way around? Devian may be ugly as sin, but he is a man’s man.  *swoon*

Once again, Zeece shows us how talented she is at developing her characters.  They spring off the pages, full of life and emotions.  Her books are never a dull read.  At least not for me.

This story is chock full of action, intrigue, treachery, and heartbreak. And I can’t wait for the next one. If you’re looking for a different vampire book, look no further. I give it 5 vampires.

Hot Chocolate is Thicker than Blood is a must read book that showcases the true bond of sisters even though one of them was adopted. The reliving of life with this cup of hot chocolate made them forget all their sorrows and they could just remember their happy moments of their lives. In pronchue to these lovely moments the sisters after so many misunderstandings were united again. Thus what matters is BOND not relationships or DNA. Hot Chocolate is Thicker than Blood - RUPA GULAB

Why oh why
Thicker Than Blood (The Twenty-Sided Sorceress) (Volume 6) - Annie Bellet

did I not stick with my decision to leave that series alone?

That was not a great or even good read.

Thicker Than Blood by Madeline Sheehan and Claire C Riley
Thicker Than Blood - Claire C. Riley,Madeline Sheehan

Well-written, chock full of zombie gore and the depravity that "humanity" can reach in a state of lawlessness, sad and no happily ever after. It's everything you want and expect in a book about a zombie apocalypse.

But mixed in through that is the story of the love between two women, two best friends--soulmates, determined to stick together through thick and thin, and especially the thin. It's the love and fight these two have for each other that makes this book. This isn't the best zombie related book I've ever read, but everything about Evelyn, Leisel and their relationship with each other is what makes this book worth reading.

"Always together, I promise."
