Awesome!
Ranger Defender - Angi Morgan

Ranger Defender is a fantastic romantic suspense book by Angi Morgan.  Ms. Morgan has provided readers with a well-written book and loaded it with a phenomenal cast of characters.  Vivian has spent all her money trying to prove her brother innocent of the murder charge that has landed him in jail.  When Ranger Slate Thompson's co-worker talks him into looking over a case, they both fell something is off and Slate is the one that has to investigate.  Vivian and Slate's story is loaded with drama, bits of humor, spice and the unexpected.  I enjoyed reading Ranger Defender and look forward to reading more from Angi Morgan in the future.  Ranger Defender is book 2 of the Texas Brothers of Company B Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I read a print copy of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ranger Defender - Angi Morgan

A terrific, suspenseful read. The book description doesn't do it justice at all.

A deranged women sociopath serial killer who brainwashes veterans who have PTSD, male cops who can't imagine a woman doing it, and a hero at the end who asks all the right questions before he beds the heroine, making sure that he's not taking advantage of her, and that she's having sex for all the right reasons. I really enjoyed it.

Hip check
Hot on Ice: A Hockey Romance Anthology - Misty D. Waters,Andie J. Christopher,Susan Scott Shelley,Xio Axelrod,Katie Kenyhercz,Kate Meader,Kimberly Kincaid,Angi Morgan,Lena Hart,Kim Golden,Robin Covington,Avery Flynn,Nana Malone,Virginia Nelson,Christi Barth,Heather Long,Robin Kaye,Desiree Holt

This is an anthology of Hockey stories, centered around a championship team.  I chose Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid for my review.  These books can be read as a standalone novel, but are more fun when read together.

Finn and January have a history.  One that goes back to high school.  The last time they saw one another, their friendship was ruined.  Then tragedy struck.  Can they repair the pain and move on?

January wants to forgive Finn.  It was not his fault she has been hot for him for years.  She does not want a repeat of last time.  Maybe they have both grown enough to make a better future.

This story was so bittersweet.  They are both missing their buddy.  These characters have so much heat and heart.  I was truly excited to turn each page!  I give this anthology a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Gunslinger by Angi Morgan
Gunslinger (Texas Rangers: Elite Troop) - Angi Morgan

Another good one. Good suspense, and good interplay between Kylie and Bryce. Baby epilogue, though. For a change I actually read/skimmed the sex scenes because they were psychologically integral to the plot.

Here's the blurb:

Going undercover to keep the former wife of a Texas crime boss alive is risky business for Texas Ranger Bryce Johnson. Kylie Scott may have evidence that could put her ex-husband's family away forever. If she lives long enough to testify.

For five years, Kylie managed to stay off the mob's radar. With her cover blown, the former model is forced to flee the close-knit community that had embraced her. On the run again—this time with the seductive lawman who's risking his career to protect her—Kylie battles her powerful desire for Bryce. If they survive, do they stand a snowball's chance at a future together?

The Sheriff by Angi Morgan
The Sheriff (Harlequin IntrigueWest Texas Watchmen) - Angi Morgan

I really enjoyed this romantic intrigue. It was fast moving with some interesting twists. I found it hard to put down and really enjoyed the characters. I look forward to reading more of this author's work. Not for under 18. And for us older readers, this paperback was in large print. A nice plus.
