Fun read
The Making Of A Family: Gay Best Friend ... The Making Of A Family: Gay Best Friend Billionaire Romance - Van Cole

This extended version of the original is so much better. It's still a bit busy and frenetic, but there are some much needed details that were missing in the shorter version and the story is more developed. The connection between Mason and Luke felt more real and I found myself rooting for this pair even though I already knew how that part of the tale would play out. It's a fun read with some silly thrown in to keep things light.

New American Best Friend - Olivia Gatwoo... New American Best Friend - Olivia Gatwood

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

There are poems that you want to read once for the sake of reading and then be done with them forever. These poems are not like that. These are poems that you will want to read again and again. Absolutely amazing.

I really enjoyed Gatwood's various odes, but all of the poems have something unique in them. They are so raw and real. Sometimes humorous, sometimes sad, these poems really make the reader feel their emotions and words. Gatwood really captures the essence of her subjects.

I loved this little book of poetry. A fantastic read.

My Best Friend's Stepfather - Opal Carew
Ashley wants to do an article on BDSM for the magazine where she works. Dare, a Dom, tells her the best way for her to learn about BDSM is to live it. He will teach her. She is hesitant because Dare is her friend's ex-stepfather but she is also exciting and willing to learn. Her boss, Adam, who has feelings for her is not happy with the way she is doing her research for her article.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters. I also liked that Ashley was unsure of her feelings but with her friend Jessie giving her ideas and Helen, the ex-best friend, telling her stories of the past, once she is given an option she goes with it. I did not see the ending coming but it was perfect. The sex was hot and plentiful.

A hot, quick read.

A Warlock's Best Friend
A Warlock's Best Friend - Erin M. Leaf A Warlock's Best Friend - Erin M. Leaf It was like a soup/stew that didn't have time to develop any flavor. It was a bit rushed and I questioned the validity of Dakota and Leo's relationship development. How did Dakota and Leo not know they were soul-splice? They're childhood friends so they grew up together. I find it hard to believe that the kiss was what changed everything when they were probably in psychical contact a lot as kids/teenagers. It just didn't work for me and I couldn't believe there was anything to their relationship but sex. Dakota is suppose to be this awesome warlock but he barely uses his magic. Even when he's being hounded by his boss he didn't try to redirect her to something else with magic.

I just saw that there is a Book 2 today and I'm not sure if I should give it a read or not.
