good book and characters
Too Hard to Forget - Tessa Bailey

Belmont had just driven into Ohio and Peggy- his sister-felt like she was going to throw up. The third person with the siblings was Sage who was Peggy’s best friend. In two weeks Peggy had lost two siblings. -Rita and Aaron. She was on the way to losing Belmont. Peggy was going to Cincinnati to complete a mission of revenge she had decided to do.Peggy had been engaged four times. And wore the rings around her neck as a symbol of her shame. Soon Peggy would be on the campus where Elliott Brooks - who was a coach- who had ruined Peggy for all others. Rebounds hadn’t worked for Peggy so she was returning the favor. Peggy was going to make Elliot’s life  hell. It was Peggy’s last chance to move on. Elliot was head coach of the Bearcats and had the coach of the year award two times. Elliot had broken Peggy’s heart. Elliot came from a very religious background. Elliot had lost his wife but it wasn’t a loving marriage but Elliot still felt guilty for the way he felt about Peggy. Elliot pushed Peggy out of his life but three years later Peggy was back and since seeing Elliot was starting to get the closure from Elliot bu then he seems to change his mind and realizes how much he had hurt Peggy.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved how Peggy was a determined to get revenge and I hated how she felt she wasn’t good enough. But this did pull me in right from the beginning and kept my interest until the end. This choked me up at times. This book was busy at times and sometimes it was hard to keep track of everything. I recommend reading the first book in the series before this one. There was definitely a very hot chemistry between Elliot and Peggy. This was like a roller coaster at times. This was very well written. This also had a very good plot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

The Current Last in Series
Potions and Pastries (A Magical Bakery Mystery) - Bailey Cates

This is a series of Cozy Mysteries involving Katie Lightfoot, Declan McCarthy, Lucy and Ben (her aunt and uncle) and the members of the Spellbook Club. It is set in Savannah, GA and Katie with her aunt and uncle own a bakery that is very popular.

Katie, Lucy, Ben and Declan have gone out to celebrate the 2nd year of business and as they are coming back from their meal they see Orla, a woman they know, telling tarot fortunes to the people on the walk. They are interested in the family dynamic in the Black Family. The next day, Katie and Lucy see Orla outside their shop and go out to talk with her. She says she doesn't have much time to talk, but she would meet with Katie that night, but instead, she walks in front of a car and is instantly killed.

Katie and Lucy both feel that it wasn't an accident and they begin their own investigation. Even Declan says he doesn't believe it was an accident. As they go along many other things begin to happen and Katie also deals with her and Declan's engagement and search for a new house.

I did enjoy this book and tried to read it every chance that I encountered. This is one series that I feel is best to read all the books in order, though.

I Won 3 Audiobooks on Audible!!

I won 3 audible audiobook giveaways from J. S. Bailey.

1. Servant (The Chronicles of Servitude, #1)

2. Sacrifice (The Chronicles of Servitude, #2)

3. Ordinary Souls

+ I won 1-3 in the Servitude series previously!

Surrender (The Chronicles of Servitude, #3)

I am very grateful to win this. I haven't been a member on Audible for a while and I've missed being able to get books on there. The reason we stopped is of course because of funds, like usual! It is one of the things we keep saying we're going to do again, but we keep forgetting.

This is the second giveaway for her books that I have won.I entered a giveaway for the same books a while ago and actually won the first 3 books in her Servitude series for my ereader.

Previous to winning these giveaways, I met J.S Bailey at The Half Priced Bookstore and bought a physical copy of Ordinary Souls from her.

I'm excited to get to them in the new year.

I feel bad because I've won two times, plus I've bought 1 book and I've yet to read any. It has just been a really hectic time and I am a mood reader. My husband is also interested in reading them, and now he'll be even more happy, because he mostly uses audiobooks!

Entangled Under The Mistletoe - Spotlight Review

Crashed out

By Tessa Bailey

On sale for 99¢ for a limited time only!

About the book:

His inspiration. His torment. And his temptation…

Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She’s the fuel for every song he’s ever written—each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band on temporary hiatus, Sarge is determined to prove to Jasmine that this “kid” turned into every inch the man she’s always needed…

Men are slim pickings for a single factory girl in Hook, New Jersey…until tall, broad-shouldered hotness walks—or rather storms—into Jasmine’s life. Sarge’s return shouldn’t affect her this way. He’s her best friend’s much younger kid brother, and the kind of rough, gritty, sexiness Jasmine has no right to taste for herself. Even if he lets her.

But lust is a blinding, insatiable force. And when it crashes, it will take both Sarge and Jasmine down with it…

Crashed Out (Made in Jersey, #1)Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jasmine used to babysit Sarge. He grew up knowing he wanted a future with her. A fantasy that never had a chance of coming true.

Sarge has come back to his hometown all grown up. He realizes what he has missed out on. He regrets waiting so long to come back. Only he could not have made himself come sooner.

Jasmine sees the grownup version of Sarge as a threat to her health. He is so hot that he causes a heatwave whenever he is near. Can she resist the man he has become?

I found myself so anxious to get to the end of the story. This book has characters that just move you to feel so many things. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. What a hot and fun book!

good book and characters
Claiming Bailey (Ace Security) - Susan S... Claiming Bailey (Ace Security) - Susan Stoker Nathan glared at the wheel of his Ford Focus that he had named Marilyn after the star. His brothers logan and Blake told him one day his car was going to give to die on him. But Nathan couldn’t just get rid of the car . It was the first thing he had purchased when he had left home after HS graduation. Well Marilyn seems to have given up and he was in a supermarket parking lot with a trunk full of groceries including ice cream for his very pregnant sister in law. Nathan wasn’t a man who made friends easily he was more comfortable with his computer and numbers than with people. Nathan found over the years he pretty much didn’t like people they lied, were rude, and didn’t care about anything but themselves. That went for most that went for ,most any situation …. In line at the store on the road, and in business. They almost always put their own wants and needs first. Nathan and his brothers came back to Castle Rock and started a security business- Ace Security- after their mother murdered their dad then killed herself. The brothers were triplets and had been abused by their mother during their childhood. The Inca Boyz were a gang from Denver and had gotten in the business of hiring out as thugs online. They had tried to kill Alexis and vowed vengeance between her and his family. Nathan got out of his car and was looking under the hood at the engine then a woman was by him and he said his car wouldn’t start and she asked what happened when he put in the key and he said nothing. She then went under the hood and said she had done a temporary fix but he needed his car tended to. She also said she worked at Clayton's Auto Body if he was interested and she handed him a white business card. Nathan said he would call tomorrow for an appointment. The woman said she would tell her boss and then Nathan gave his name On the back of the business card was written “ tell them Bailey sent you”. Then nathan thought it was a coincidence that the woman he and Alexis had been looking for the last couple of months was also named Bailey, that was Donovan's ex who was the gang leader of the Inca Boyz. Then Nathan realized Bailey was the first woman he had ever felt lust for. Bailey absently responded to her brother as she thought about Nathan. There was something about him that did it for Bailey. Bailey had grown up in the poorest part of denver and barely graduated HS. She got involved with the Inca Boyz at the age of fourteen Bailey had started tinkering with cars in middle school. She used to hang out at the auto body shop with her dad that he worked at and she slowly picked it up. Her dad died when she was twenty and she got guardianship of her younger brother Joel. It had been tough to find money for childcare so Bailey used to bring Joel when she hung out with Donovan and the Inca Boyz crew. It was the worst mistake she had ever made as Joel changed from being easy going and open to closed off and angry in two years. She hadn’t understood why until she walked in and saw Donovan and Joel watching hard- core porn while Joel puffed on a joint. Bailey never brought Joel around the gang again and started making plans to get away from Donovan and the gang. When Donovan and his brothers were away she packed everything she could fit in her car and headed south. Bailey had gotten hired on by Clayton in his small auto shop. Bailey’s ultimate dream was to open her own shop. Joe;l was now turning ten but she didn’t have the money for the party Joel wanted. Nathan somehow knew Bailey wa s,eamt for him. I really enjoyed this book. The only problem I had with it was it ended in a somewhat cliffhanger. Not a bad one that was a lead to the next book with a different person and it let you know what to more or less expect but to be fair for that reason I couldn't give a five that I would have otherwise. But I would have rated this a 4.5 if I could have. I absolutely loved this book it had action, suspense, family, love, romance, danger, gang. And so much more.I loved how Nathan was in love with Bailey but was willing to only be her friend until she let him know if she wanted things to change. I loved the interaction between Nathan and Bailey as well as Joel. I loved the relationship between Joel and his brothers and their partners. I loved that Nathan had insecurities also. I felt this book was realistic in a lot of ways. I think Joel added a lot to this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I definitely recommend.
