Worth it
Frosh: Second Chances - Mónica B. Wagner

This is book #2, in the Frosh series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and have a better understanding of the series, I recommend reading this in order.

Following the couples of Grant & Ellie, Devon & Charlie, this story continues as we head into further mayhem at school with these adorkable peeps.  Grant is through with football and trying to adjust to classes.  Charlie is finding he can be more than the nerd.

All the characters must decide if the relationships are worth all the trial and error, to get to the triumph of a solid relationship.  Will it be worth it in the end?  I was impressed with the pace, the writing, and the solid conflicts.  I was excited to turn each page to get to the next parts of the story.  I look forward to the next installment in the Frosh series.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Great Story and Characters
First Blush: FROSH #1 - Mónica B. Wagner

Elle was a journalist student. Tanner who was from her dorm was the RA  of her dorm his job was to catch students doing things they weren’t suppose to be doing. Then it turned out Tanner was the Managing Editor of the Hillson Daily Nexus newspaper that Elle wanted to be a part of. Alexandra was the Editor In Chief and would be the one to decide if Elle gets the editorial assistant position she wants. Elle tended to be over eager and had to be careful now. The nexus was Elle’s dream paper. Elle wanted to reach people with her words. All the applicants for the position Elle wanted had to do interviews with pictures and write the story. Elle got a quarterback  named grant Landry. Elle was not happy with this. But Tanner told her football was a big thing around there and she had the best assignment. Devon wants to clear her family name and was determined to be on Grants arm. Charlie had one  drunken night with Devon and really cared about her. Maybe if he makes himself over Devon would want him. Grant was used to getting just about any girl but Elle was different. No matter what Grant did it seemed to make him look bad. But he felt Elle was worth the effort.

I loved this story it was absolutely great. I even loved the different subplots going on which is unusual for me. But I Loved it and that is a compliment to the author. I loved all the characters especially Elle and Grant and all the twists and turns they both go through. I loved all aspects of this book. I highly recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Review: Frosh First Blush #1
First Blush: FROSH #1 - Mónica B. Wagner

First let me start off with this book has 4 different P.O.V’s for me that is always hard to read because you can easily get confused as to what exactly is going on. The author did warn me on this book before I started reading it so I was a bit weary on if I should read it.

I am so glad I gave this book a chance I LOVED this….. the hard crushing that was going on between the two characters Ellie and Grant was awesome. The back story that seems to be behind Devon and her brother awesome. The surprise I have feelings for the nerd from Devon was to die for.

Ellie wants to be a reporter so on her first day at the college newspaper she is given an assignment she has to nail this because there is only one opening. Her assignment is to interview the quarterback Grant but we all know that is going to be hard, but Ellie doesn’t plan on giving up. What she doesn’t expect is falling for him and him for her. So when she discovers something that could hurt Grant what should she do? The ending of the book had me almost wanting to throw my kindle but I couldn’t because I am sure it would break and then I would cry. The ending left me breathless and wanting way more of this series.

The four P.O.V’s are Devon, Grant, Ellie and Charlie. They all intertwine in some way and the author did a great job of letting us readers know who was speaking so I really enjoyed that.

Now Devon is the girl you just love to hate but you can’t because once you get her backstory you just feel for her.

Charlie the hot nerd has the hot’s for one girl and one girl only but she doesn’t know or doesn’t care she has her eyes set on the main person in this book.

Grant the quarterback who every girl wants to drop their panties for but when he meets Ellie well she is the first girl not to care for his charm. We see both Grant and Ellie dance back and forth between trying to get together to being mad at each other. So when the ending came about you will see why I was left breathless and wanted more.

Looking for drama, and romance check this series out.

I guess this was just not for me
First Blush: FROSH #1 - Mónica B. Wagner

DNF at 45%

Just couldn't get into this. I really couldn't. I did try. Seriously I did. But it's not for me.

Mind you it's okay. Except I expected kinda something more ... well, more everything
This is simply ok. It's ok written. Has quite cliche but ok characters.. the story- line is cliche not terrible but also not great.
I found myself wondering why I am reading this.. over and over.
Hence I did the reasonable thing: And stopped.

This isn't terrible, it's just....

Well, I dunno, it's kinda predictable, kinda cliche, not bad but I just couldn't care ...
So putting it aside.
