Temporary
Convincing Cole - Jaclyn Quinn

Cole has moved back to his hometown with the best friends of a lifetime.  Now that he is here, however, finding someone to appreciate him as he is may prove difficult.  Until he gets the surprise he never saw coming.

Aiden has grown up with Cole, though he has family problems of his own.  Making a name for himself by going out on his own with his bar - he takes chances others won't.  Then one night he takes the riskiest change yet.

These men are so good together it is almost too sweet for words.  I love the comraderies and friendships that bring humor, love, and joy in this story.  The heat is also turned all the way up as the unexpected sparks and keeps the fire burning bright.  Could not finish this one fast enough.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

TOUR, REVIEW & #GIVEAWAY - Living on a Dare (Shore Thing #1) by Grace Kilian Delaney
Living on a Dare (Shore Thing #1) - Grace Kilian Delaney

@SignalBoostPR, @GraceKilianD, #Contemporary, #MM, #Romance, #Friends_to_Lovers, 4 out of 5 (very good)

Living on a Dare is the first book in the Shore Thing series, and we start off with two friends, Draven and Julien. Draven is gay, and has known it for years. Julien is struggling to come to terms with his bi-sexuality, and as such, pushes Draven away until he is sure. Both of these have had feelings for the other for years, but neither thought anything would come of it. It takes a dare to bring their feelings to the surface, but even then, there is a lot of confusion going on.

This was a great story, with plenty of action and steam. I loved how these two worked together, although I could also slap them upside the head at times! There is a great cast of supporting characters too. I actually loved Julien's mum, and the role she played. This is the first in the series, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

A sweet, hot, humorous story that I definitely recommend.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

A Shore Thing
A Shore Thing - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi I said in my Top 5 Summer Fictional Essentials post that I wanted to read this book and I did! And I loved it as much as the first time. If you don't like Jersey Shore, Snooki & Jwoww or just general chick lit then don't read it. Don't read it just to spite the fact that someone you have chosen to dislike wrote a book either. You're wasting your time. Go read what you want to read, whatever that is, and enjoy that. Fill your life with things you like and you'll be a happier person. Want to read a book by Snooki? Feel no shame.
I'm a Snooki defender but I'm also a book blogger and this book was good. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the female empowerment, the take-no-shit attitudes and the fact that both main characters learnt something about themselves.

A Shore Thing - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi Nobody is reading a Snooki book and expecting great insight. She's obviously no Tolstoy, but A Shore Thing wasn't the worst thing I've ever read (or even the worst thing I've read this week). Just like every other ghost written celebrity book, it's superficial, silly and dramatic. But it is entertaining and fun. If you can appreciate something like Jersey Shore (or any other given reality tv show) for what they are - mindless entertainment - you can enjoy this book.
It also deserves a bit of credit for its surprising moments of positive messages of female empowerment (this is seriously a story of a girl who gains independence from a controlling boyfriend and decides what to do with her future and a girl who realizes she's way too in love with her life to try so desperately to find a boyfriend). But that could just be my own bias of thinking Snooki is really a covert feminist figure for just doing her own thing and not caring about other people's (usualy unjust, always a bit gendered) criticism.

A Shore Thing - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi So, this is a work of fiction by Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi about two girls who rent a place on the Jersey Shore for a month. If you've watched "Jersey Shore" then you know what's in the book. It's fun, it's crazy, there are lots of mishaps and misunderstandings. And girl fights. I have a hard time believing Snooki actually wrote this. But maybe she did. She just took all the things they did at the JS and "fictionalized" it. Good for her.
