Temporary
Convincing Cole - Jaclyn Quinn

Cole has moved back to his hometown with the best friends of a lifetime.  Now that he is here, however, finding someone to appreciate him as he is may prove difficult.  Until he gets the surprise he never saw coming.

Aiden has grown up with Cole, though he has family problems of his own.  Making a name for himself by going out on his own with his bar - he takes chances others won't.  Then one night he takes the riskiest change yet.

These men are so good together it is almost too sweet for words.  I love the comraderies and friendships that bring humor, love, and joy in this story.  The heat is also turned all the way up as the unexpected sparks and keeps the fire burning bright.  Could not finish this one fast enough.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Hard to Get
Hard to Get - Jaclyn Quinn

I have to say, there is something about Jacyln Quinn's writing, stories and characters that just pull me in completely.  I loved Gabe from the first book.  His wit and style made me very curious about this man and his "relationship" tactics.

Well, let's just say, he is nothing like he seems.  Honest, sweet and such a devoted friend he is indeed.  But there was much more to this man than met the eye and I loved him all the more.

Enter Nate.  My heavens, this was also a character who is not at all what he seemed in the first book.  His pushback and protective nature was wonderfully developed.  And his story is one that I honestly did not see coming.  But work it did...and it certainly worked on our sweet Gabe.

As with book one, the dialogue for me feels so natural and the situations never feel contrived.  Once again I was drawn into this setting, this cast of characters, their friendships and love for another.  The friendship that has been formed between Gabe and Jonah is the perfect example.  These two are wonderful together.

I eagerly await Jonah's story...he needs him something amazing and the shy ginger may be absolutely perfect.  Can't wait!

An ARC was received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Reading progress update: I've read 47%.
Hard to Get - Jaclyn Quinn

As they all turned in the direction of the diner, Lily reached up, taking not only Nate’s hand, but Gabe’s as well. Nate and Gabe shared a look over her head, and a sudden pride spread throughout Gabe. He felt like he belonged…to them. He’d had everything he could possibly want all his life: cars, houses, boats, clothes. None of those things filled him with the pride he felt walking down a small town Main Street, with these two people by his side.

❤️❤️❤️

stunning follow up!
Hard to Get - Jaclyn Quinn
I was gifted my copy of this book, direct from the author. That I write a review was not required. We met Gabe and Nate in book one, Hard to Let Go. You don't NEED to have read that before you read this one, but it will give you a better picture of Haven's Cove and the people in it, and why Gabe is in town. But you SHOULD read it, not least because that is a stunning 5 star debut read, but also because I said you SHOULD! And this is another STUNNING follow up to that novel! Gabe is Brody's best friend; brother in all ways but blood. Nate is hired by Brody. When Nate and Gabe meet, Gabe is immediately pulled to Nate. But Nate pushes Gabe away, and keeps pushing but Gabe keeps trying. Until they each see a different side to the other, and think that they can be friends, at least. While not quite as emotionally devastating to me personally as book one, I absolutely loved this follow up! Both men have been hurt before, badly and they deal with that in their own way. I'm not saying who does what but know that neither way is right or wrong, but it's right for that person to deal with their past in that way. When the full extent of Gabe's hurt becomes clear, I cried for him, I really did. I loved that Nate's family showed himhow it should be. Nate's hurt is no less painful, just different. I loved that it took a single line from a 5 year old to make Gabe see what and WHO he really wants. "Because that's what daddies do" I take it back! This book WAS emotionally devastating! It was just in a very VERY different way to book one. I loved that we got some Brody and Owen and Jonah too. His story is laid out here and I can't wait to read that one. I have a feeling Jonah isn't as happy as he makes out and Cameron?? Well that boy is in a world of hurt already. I always worry, you know, after reading such a stunning debut novel, that the next book might not be up to par with that book. But I need not have worried here. 5 stunning follow up stars! **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

BLOG TOUR, REVIEW & #GIVEAWAY - Hard to Let Go (Haven's Cove #1) by Jaclyn Quinn
Hard to Let Go: A Haven's Cove Novel - Jaclyn Quinn
Owen Richards lives a quiet life in his small hometown of Haven’s Cove. He has a rewarding life consisting of three very supportive—not to mention feisty—women, and a successful bakery that he owns and absolutely loves. Yet, Owen can't seem to shake this emptiness inside or the intense feeling that something is missing. A sudden encounter with a man from his past, one he despises, turns his entire world upside down. When Owen finds himself attracted to that sexy man, he questions everything, including his sanity. After all, only an incredibly disturbed person would find that he can’t stop thinking about his high school bully.

Brody Walker never expected to return to Haven’s Cove. He’s made a life for himself in Boston where he can truly be the person he was always meant to be. But an unexpected call has Brody facing all the demons he’d left behind so long ago. Now, he’s faced with not only a difficult goodbye, but one long overdue apology to a man who is no longer that lanky kid from high school. The challenge is to convince the guy he’s changed—and also prove he’s worth taking a chance on.

When passions ignite, truths are exposed, changing beliefs these men have held on to for years. Faced with the knowledge that things aren’t always what they seem, will they choose to hold on to the incredible thing they’ve found…or is it easier to give in to the fear and let go?
