Size Matters (A Perfect Fit) - Alison Bliss
Leah meets Sam under some frustrating circumstances.  She believes he could never be interested in her, since she feels she is overweight and not attractive to him.  How can she win a man when she doesn't like herself?

Sam is attracted to Leah right away.  He is dead set against relationships, due to dating a real loser in the past.  After learning how he has hurt Leah, however, he shows what a gentleman he can be.

Seriously fun and heartwarming story.  I love how the author portrays each avenue of their personalities.  The characters just jump off the page.  The chemistry is seriously HOT!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

SIZE MATTERS by Alison Bliss
Size Matters (A Perfect Fit) - Alison Bliss
One of the funniest romances I have read in a while. Leah owns a bakery and is overweight. Her mother is always telling her what to do to lose the weight. She meets Sam in a bar and he is a jerk to her but when he goes to apologize to her he is enlisted to help her get the wedding cake to her ex-boyfriend's wedding where he proclaims them engaged. Now they have to look for a way out of the engagement because Leah's mother was there during the proclamation.

I loved Leah and Sam. If only they could have read each other's thoughts instead of thinking they knew what the other was thinking it would have spared them both so much heartache. We also would have lost a lot of the humor. Leah's family is a hoot! I especially enjoyed Sam's jerking her brother's chain.

This was just a fun read. I hope the others that follow will be as much fun.

Review - Size Matters by Alison Bliss
Size Matters (A Perfect Fit) - Alison Bliss

Just loved this one! From the laugh out loud moments - and there were many - to the ones that had my heart breaking (and even ones that had me getting a little bit angry), I couldn't put this one down.

Size Matters (A Perfect Fit)
Size Matters (A Perfect Fit) - Alison Bliss This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life.

This was a fun book! I love it when a story can balance humor with romance and this one did it really well. There were plenty of touching moments as well to really tell a satisfying story. I didn't want to put this book down and ended up reading it in a single day. I am so glad that I decided to pick this one up.

Sam and Leah are the focus of this book. Sam is in construction and has sworn off any relationships for the time being after his most recent disaster. Leah owns a local bakery and isn't sure she will ever meet the right guy. Leah also has some body image issues that pop up pretty early in the book. On a whim, Sam tells Leah's ex fiance that they are engaged and soon everyone knows about it. They must now spend some time with family before they can "break up" and make everyone happy.

As soon as I read this book's summary and noted that there would be a fake engagement, I quickly guessed that they would end up falling for each other. I was right but the way it happened was a treat to watch. This pair fit so nicely together and Sam really seemed to become a part of Leah's family almost immediately. The chemistry between the pair was well done and I was really wanting to see them make it work. Everything about their relationship felt genuine to me.

The humor in this book was well done. I didn't find myself laughing out loud but I was rather amused quite a few times. Leah and Sam both had a great sense of humor. I really liked some of the things Sam said to try to make Leah's family dislike him. The only thing that I didn't care for was how much focus was put on Leah's weight both by Leah and her mother. I understand why it was a part of the story but wish it had been scaled back just a bit.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This is the first book by Alison Bliss that I have had a chance to read but I do plan to read more of her work in the future. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

I received an advance reader edition of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley.

Initial Thoughts
This was a fun quick read. There were a few funny moments along with a few more touching. I liked both of the characters quite a bit and enjoyed their chemistry.

Dear BL, That down-sized image thing isn't really working for us.

Sorry, we truly appreciate your efforts to make your site better and easier to interact with but the downsizing of images is causing a lot of problems and great unhappiness. Could you please work on bringing back the old parameters, please?

"One timely deed is worth ten thousand words" - The Works of Mr. James Thomson, 1802

"That tear, good girl, is worth, ten thousand words" - The Trust: A Comedy, in Five Acts, 1808

"One fact well understood by observation, and well guided development, is worth a thousand times more than a thousand words" - The American Journal of Education, 1858

"The drawing shows me at one glance what might be spread over ten pages in a book."-Ivan S. Turgenev's novel Fathers and Sons, 1862

"Every picture tells a story". - Doan's Backache Kidney Pills

"Use a picture. It's worth a thousand words."-  Arthur Brisbane to the Syracuse Advertising Men's Club

We realize that it might not be as easy as just adding it back but,
