Doesn't work that way for me on Chromium or Firefox, and I'd be a little surprised if it was somehow browser-, os- or version-dependent.

I'm talking about a very specific thing: the text input box for "post/text" blog posts. (The comment and forum boxes (like this one) are resizeable, but so far as I know, that "post/text" input box is not.)
So far as I can tell, it is actually implemented as an iframe inside a table with a fixed height and width: 576 x 325 px. Maybe that explains why it is not so easy to make it resizeable. These comment boxes are just text areas that can be set as resizeable just via an attribute, but I think they'd have to use jquery to be able to do it with the post/text box. Not sure why it's implemented that way, but I'm sure there's a reason.

No worries, it's mostly that I couldn't figure out how to specify exactly what text input box I was talking about. And actually, I thought it would be an easy fix until I realised they had the weird iframe thing going on.

For me, unless I have the browser maximised, the edit box is pushed all the way to the absolute left border of the screen and promptly crashes into the "Need help"? thing. And because I usually have a quote list on another window, that's kind of a killer.
In fact, here's a picture:

I tend to format my reviews somewhat, and I switch between a computer and a tablet, so having my reviews on BL is convenient. But I don't know; maybe writing reviews directly into the review space like this isn't a standard use-case, so supporting it is not a big priority. If so, I'd really prefer BL to just say so and I'll go ahead and find other alternatives.

@bookaneer: Sorry for any inconvenience. The comfy place to create, write and edit reviews is crucial for us. We'll take a look into this. When it comes to book data base it's getting really really close, so stay tuned.
You can also mail us with any questions or remarks at contact@booklikes.com.
I absolutely love the new book page - full descriptions! Editions! If I was the swooning type...

Would it make sense to anyone else to have the reviews of a book from 'the people you follow' at the top of the community reviews instead of below them?

Thanks! It should be changed any minute now :)

Oh, wow. Thanks! Jeez, I'm almost speechless about how fast you responded...
I think it's to show where you should be right now in regards to your goal. I'm fairly far behind. *sighs*
I know I'm repeating this request, but it's something I've noticed a lot the past two days with the release of the new database and the discussions surrounding it. When I get an email notification that there has been a new comment in the comments to a blog post, it would be SO NICE if the link in the email would send me to that comment instead of the blog post itself. When there are multiple and multiple comments, I just give up on the discussion after a while because I get frustrated at never being able to find the comments that are replies to comments earlier in the thread.

The Add a New Book was added just today but the private note was announced a few weeks ago. Not 'new' but very recent.
Gosh it would be nice if "search from my bookshelves" were back for an option in the +book for writing text. I am looking up one book for a post now, and it's taking forever.

I was just thinking about this earlier today that I was missing that option. Yeah I can go to my shelf and search for a book there, click on it, and then create the type of post I want from there, but that just seems like a lot of extra steps, plus the fact that it's not really that helpful if you want to add multiple books to a post.
I'd love to have the number of pages and the date a book was published on the table few on my shelves. Maybe now that there is more info on the book page there is a possibility to have this data on the shelves?
Thank you!
When viewing your shelves, it would be nice to either have the ISBN appear in the pop-up window that appears when you click on the cover, or as a possible column in the shelf list view. Or both! :D

(I use ISBN's a lot.)
I know I mentioned this a while ago, but since it just hit me in the face again, I thought I would mention it once more. :)

I would LOVE a way to filter out ONLY the Activities from my dashboard view. I just had 15 in a row show up and quite honestly, these bits of info are of little interest to me. I want all the other things, all the actual posts, but not the so-and-so read this, added this, is currently reading this. I know many people like that, but I could easily and happily live without it. :)
