Tempting the Bodyguard (A Gamble Brothers Novel) (Entangled Brazen) - J. Lynn 

I think I liked this book book the best out of three and it was all because of Chandler and Alana.  I loved both of their characters, flaws and all.  The way Chandler was able to bring Alana out of her shell  really resonated with me.  I didn't like Alana in the last book at all so I put of reading this one thinking that I would not like it because of her. I couldn't have been more wrong though.

And Chandler, his kinky side was awesome, but I loved that he was so tender with Alana when she needed it the most.  Her upbringing really screwed her up and it's possible that Chandler's did a number on him as well.  But, I think having rough childhoods really brought them together in a way that Alana wasn't able to connect with previous boyfriends.

There was some mystery/suspense in here as well although I knew pretty early on who the culprit was.  I didn't think that it was interesting beyond the fact that it was keeping our hero and heroine together.

As with the previous two books, the love was fast, but this one felt a bit different because of the circumstances in which they came together.  And it ended with a nice epilogue that showed all three bothers happy and in love.

All in all, it was a sexy, sweet, book that I enjoyed from beginning to end.  I'm a little sad that the series is over now.  I'll miss the Gamble brothers.

We've been introduced to Matt; strong, silent NYPD ESU sniper, best friend to Daniel Chase and Brent Mason, and Lucy, Brent's little sister who we've heard of, but never met, in previous books in the Line of Duty series .  Even though the MCs have been told about one another, they've never met and have no idea what each looks like. Upon meeting there's lust at first sight.  Lucy knows Matt would never betray her brother by getting involved with her so she lies about who she really is to get what she wants; Matt.  Matt finds out who Lucy really is fairly quickly and believes he can't pursue a relationship with Lucy because...reasons.

Staking His Claim is a hot, sexy novella-length romp.  If you're looking for an erotic short that'll make your e-reader spontaneously combust...

But if you want something deep and well-developed this isn't the story for you.

Most definitely straight erotica (hell, some can call this “porn” and I won’t disagree).  C’mon—consider the title. ;-)  So leave all expectations of in-depth plot and/or character development at the door b/c there ain’t enough pages here. The critical factor is that Elle wanted it, consented every step of the way, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. And the way everything unfolded, I half-expected Elle to wake up from an erotic dream at the end.

Given its length, it’s pretty much “places, everyone, aaaaand... ACTION!”. And man, is there action! *fans self* But this smutty tidbit differs vastly from much of the schlock flooding the erotica market more and more these days.  It’s actually adult erotica, as opposed to some watered-down wanna-be.  I found Office Toy to be very well-written, highly erotic, and rather intelligent smut. (Yes, that’s right―intelligent... as in I didn’t feel insulted or fear losing IQ points by reading this.) That says much about the writer, methinks. :) So if you're curious, try this author out whilst it’s free.

My only “negative” re: Office Toy is that it’s part of a series of equally short vignettes (read: serial). Which is fine, in and of itself, b/c some writers work best in that format and there’s a time and a place for hot shorties, right? But the length (31 Kindle pgs) vis-à-vis a price of $2.99 gives me serious pause re: subsequent works. I’d love to find out what happens but getting invested in this kind of serial gets very pricey, very quickly. Plus, I tend to enjoy longer reads more, so may just wait for the bundle set. :)

ETA: FTR, in the world of erotica, there's a vast (and very critical) difference between “gang bang” and gang *rape*.  Obviously, one basic element is consent.  But still, to mistake one for the other is... well, IDK.

3.5 stars. Melting Ms Frost is a spicy contemporary romance set in London. It explores a lite dom-sub relationship between Aiden, a mysterious and handsome Irish bar tender, and his boss Annabel Frost, the cold, stiff and proper manager of the chic restaurant.

Aiden is a talker: a smooth talker, a sweet talker, and most assuredly a dirty talker. While Annabel would never fraternize with the help, she is drawn to Aiden's shocking flirtatious advances as he pushes well beyond the boundaries of appropriate in a work place. She denies her attraction and sets out to avoid him, but he can read her like a book and persists through her resistance to eventually make her his.

I should probably mention that I could count the number of BDSM themed romances I have read on one hand, and still have a few fingers left. It is normally not my cuppa, and while I enjoyed this book I still don't think it's my cuppa.

Aiden only wants a dom-sub relationship with Annabel, but to have that way he will need to make her see how she is attracted to that lifestyle. When the relationship finally heats up, the game of dom-sub means she must surrender control to Aiden if she is to receive 'satisfaction'.

I instantly liked Aiden, and loved the way he would go about shocking Annabel with his naughty whispers of desire. Annabel, being the cold and stiff person she is, was much harder to like at first. But the cat and mouse games between them was fun to watch, and slowly we began to see a likable side to Annabel as well.

The story is heavily focused on the sexual relationship between Aiden and Annabel, but I hesitate to call this one an 'erotica' novel. It is a spicy read with light-erotica moments, but it spends more time on the sexual tension build up and not so much on the bedroom scenes. (If you are looking for hardcore erotica or hardcore BDSM, this isn't that book.)
