Great Quick Read
Chosen Mate - Katie Reus

With an abusive relationship behind her, wolf shifter Leslie is quietly raising her young son in the Kendrick pack. If she’s occasionally lonely, it’s a small price to pay for son’s safety. And if she’s secretly longing for pack alpha Malcolm Kendrick, well…she’s keeping that fantasy to herself. Experience has made her a realist, and they’re far too different to work. She has no idea Malcolm wants her just as fiercely. That he’s been subtly courting her for a year. But subtlety has gotten him nowhere—even if he thought it was the best choice after what she’d been through. He wanted to make sure Leslie didn’t feel obligated to him, that she was truly ready to move on. Now that he knows she is, he’s determined to make sure it’s with him. And when a threat from her past surfaces, he’ll eliminate anyone who would dare to hurt his mate.

This was a great story by a great author. I’ve read a number of her books and they don’t disappoint. I really liked both main characters as well as the plot. It was a great, quick read. I recommend.

Great Story and Characters
Bishop's Queen - Katie Reus

They used to call Evan Bishop the golden boy. He had it all and was about to close the business deal of a lifetime, then marry the woman of his dreams. But everything goes to hell when a faceless enemy wants to destroy his family’s empire and see him dead. Except the bomb meant to kill him fails. He wakes up from a coma to find his face scarred and his brother missing and wanted for murder. Now that he’s damaged, he hides away from the world—including the woman he loves. He refuses to be a burden to her, so even though it destroys him, he sets her free.

This was a great story that I really enjoyed as I do with most of this author’s book. I tend to find second-chance stories hit or miss but this one was definitely a hit. I look forward to the next book. I highly recommend.

5 Star Chosen Mate
Chosen Mate - Katie Reus

Leslie is quietly raising her son in the Kendrick pack after escaping an abusive relationship and if she’s occasionally lonely, it’s a small price to pay for her son’s safety, although she’s secretly longing for Malcolm, the pack alpha. Malcolm has been subtly courting her for a year and it’s gotten him nowhere but now that he knows she is ready to move on, he’s determined to make sure it’s with him.

This ‘Crescent Moon’ story is a sweet romance that brings smiles to the readers’ face. Leslie has worked to overcome her past and she’s ready for Malcolm to step up but vulnerabilities and doubt make her bit hesitant in believing that they are right for each other. Malcolm has been moving forward slowly giving her time to adjust to being safe and to heal from her past. This keeps emotions flowing from the pages and these strong, compelling characters easily capture readers’ hearts with their story.

The plot is fast paced and while it is on the short side, it has its share of romance, passion, suspense and excitement as a feral rogue comes sniffing around and instigating trouble and with a twist, the pack soon discovers that not everything is as it seems. Readers can’t help but keep their eyes glued to the pages of this delightful romance.

BISHOP'S QUEEN by Katie Reus Release
Bishop's Queen (Endgame trilogy Book 2) Kindle Edition - Katie Reus
This was a really great story from beginning to end.I loved the main characters from the onset of the story Evan and Isla.

The story was filled with intrigue and suspense the entire time and kept you turning the pages to the very end.The story started off with a bang and a whole lot of heartache and sadness.

Evan was a man swimming in guilt and heartache and the misery of his own making. Isla was suffering from the loss of both Evan and her fathers death and unbelievable heartache from the loss of her man.

This was one emotional tale and Evan and Isla tried to find their way back to one another. The mystery surrounding them is not helping the situation but, it gives Evan the in to wright the wrongs he did to the women he love most of all.

It was clearly evident that these two belonged together and their chemistry was off the charts but, one thing for sure that were destined for one another. This couple were totally hot together and their love for one another quite endearing.

This story had a great cast of characters and we loved them all.We really love it when you get to connect with the characters you are reading about and we did just that.I am really enjoying this series and can't wait to read the next in the series.

Overall this was a great romantic suspense read for us.

Great Story and Characters
Dark Memento (Verona Bay #1) - Katie Reus

Eight years ago Serenity Washington watched as her twin sister was murdered. She was lucky to escape the same grisly fate. With her sister’s killer in jail, she relocated and tried to move on with her life. She married a man in the Air Force and started a family, but when her husband dies unexpectedly she moves back to the last place she remembers being happy—Verona Bay, FL.

I’ve read a number of paranormal books by this author so this was a good change of pace from that. I loved both Lucas and Serenity as they try to uncover whose after Serenity. I also liked the side characters as well. I highly recommend.
