A Hidden Heir to Redeem Him
A Hidden Heir to Redeem Him (Feuding Billionaire Brothers #1) - Dani Collins

A Hidden Heir to Redeem Him felt more like a short story than a novel or novella. I knew it was going to be a pretty quick read at a little over 200 pages, but there are a lot of unanswered questions, at least for me. I think the main thing for me is that these characters don't receive the development or growth they need for a successful relationship. I spent a good deal of this one really wanting Kiara to put Val in his place. I also had to keep reminding myself that this was based on a very different culture than my own. Otherwise, these women would've driven me a bit crazy. Nevertheless, this pair does make for some witty and fun banter, especially in the first half of the book, and we get a sweet and sassy little lady to keep them on their toes. I will say that the title is pretty perfect for this book because if anyone needs a bit of redemption, it would be Val. He doesn't display too many redeeming qualities except for his reactions to his daughter, and I wasn't sure he would figure the whole relationship thing out. It was near miss, and the author certainly held out until the final moments to get there, but for those who want to quit, I would suggest holding out until those last few pages. Val does have some redeeming qualities in there. It just takes a bit of digging. The epilogue does bring some resolution to the story as well as a smile and a sigh from any romance lover. To sum it up, this is a quick, instalove romance with surprisingly more after the insta part than before. I would say that anyone who enjoys a bit of instalove, secret baby romance will love this one.

A Hidden Heir to Redeem Him (Feuding Billionaire Brothers #1) by: Dani Collins

One of the reasons that I love Dani Collins is that her characters are so unpredictable. Val and Kiara seem to take that to the extreme. It's hard to get lost in the story when you don't like the characters very much, but I it is possible. A Hidden Heir to Redeem Him is a battlefield for secrets and heartache. Manipulation proves to be a constant theme. Emotions run high with ever page. Val is anything but hero material which makes him all the more intriguing. Kiara is more than a little naive when it comes to matters of the heart and that does a disservice to what could have been an interesting character.

Contemporary Romance
D Is For Dani's Baby - Lisa Jackson

D Is For Dani's Baby is a contemporary romance by Lisa Jackson.  Ms. Jackson has supplied readers with a well-written book.  Dani and Brand's story is a tangle of two dysfunctional families.  And a baby Dani gave up at birth.  I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from Lisa Jackson soon.  D Is For Dani's Baby is book 4 of the Love Letters Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I read a print copy of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Storm Warned
Storm Warned - Dani Harper

Caris was turned into a grim (a death dog) by a fae prince who sought more power. Prior to that she ran her father's farm, while he drank his days and nights away. Caris was a gifted musician. Liam was also a gifted musician whose career was flourishing. After his wife cheated on him, he retreated and became a hermit on his family's farm.
This was an entertaining read with fun secondary characters. I really liked Caris; she was strong and stood up for herself. Ranyon (I've got a charm for that!) and Morgan make appearances. Aidan, Brooke, and Rhys are mentioned in name only.

Booklikes Bingo: It was a dark and stormy night

Book Review for Among Ash & Ember by Dani Rene
Among Ash and Ember - Dani René

Omg !What a great story we loved it from beginning to end. The story was tragic and intense and edgy and had a love story like no other.Secrets Secrets nothing but secrets.

We loved the characters of the story they were and electric bunch. Katerina aka Kitten was feisty and determined and sweet, kind and loving and take no crap kind of girl who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Ash was hard and dominate and a -hole most of the time but, accepted that part of himself and he was little bit broken and waded down by secrets.

The story was filled with drama and romance and a whole lot of sadness. One minute you were laughing the next you were crying.Ember we loved him he made us laugh and well as cried also he was the light to the darkness that was his twin Ash.

A well written story that had us engrossed from the very first pages and we fell head over heels in love with each and every character.
