Evie

I met him in a snow storm...

We spent forty-eight hours trapped in the back of his pickup truck.

We fought.

We touched.

We fell.

Hard.

Storm

She literally crashed into my life...

The last thing I wanted was a relationship. Especially with a quirky chick who drove me insane. But something about her got under my skin, and into my heart.

And I had to have her.

All of her.

Now.

Falling in love in the back of a truck, just the two of us, was easy.

Dealing with psycho fans, jealous exes, and demons from the past....not so easy.

About the Author:

I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts.

My first novel in the best-selling Ashes & Embers series, Storm, published in September of 2014. I have many books and sequels slated for this series. My new spin-off series, Devils Wolves, launched in 2016 with the best-selling novel, Torn. There are several books planned for this series as well.

Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.

Talon (Ashes & Embers) (Volume 4) - Carian Cole

OMG! I wanna cry so bad.. And I'm trying to hold it in. EVERYTHING about this one, was on point. My heart responded to it all... I don't even think I can articulate my feelings for this one in a way that would do it justice. So, Please just read this one people. And Start at the beginning. I take that back. Start at Lukas' book, like I did, and then go in order. *giggles*

And the real Talon & Asia, actually got a few sobs out of me.

Thanks Carian for penning such a poignant, beautiful story <3

I would recommend this read, this series.

Happy Reading :)

P.S. Hubby read this one with me, and he loved it too :)

Vandal (Ashes & Embers) (Volume 2) - Carian Cole

Okay.. first I must get out of the way why up until I read the last chapter, this book would have been a 5 star read for me.

That last chapter/reveal concerning Tabitha completely underminded the person we as the reader, got to know & maybe even care about/sympathize with, over the course of the book.

Now, her mentioning little things/hints before the reveal, did have me wondering exactly what her secret was. But because it did not come out along side Vandal's "demons", this made her seem very cruel. Heartless even. Kinda like she didn't even have the right to put him through his sweating it out period because she already knew the deal from the get go. So what was the point of the waiting period? And the fact that though Vandal's wrongs were brought to light, but not her own, didn't seem right or balanced with this story either.

Like I said, I would have been able to accept this had these things come out in the wash along side everything else, Especially after she learned of the circumstances surrounding Vandal's role in their nightmare. But not this coming up as a sneaky after thought. And not coming clean to him about it.

This was me after reading that last chapter..

BUT all the other events & execution of this story was definitely on point for me. I was scared, skeptical even, about reading Vandal's story. But I must say I'm so happy that I did. It was a heartbreaking, scary, erotic, heartwarming journey that he took me on. I'm glad I hopped on the crazy train with him. And I'm so happy to see that the man he once was, eventually met the man he became, through his journey of truth & self redemption. He made me proud to say I love Vandal...

But he will never EVER remove Lukas from the #1 spot in my heart. LOL!

So yes, thus far based on books 1-3, I would recommend this series.

Happy Reading :)

Storm (Ashes & Embers Book 1) - Rogena Mitchell-Jones,Kari Ayasha

Now this one started off rather bumpy for me. I was not feeling the heroine, Evelyn AT. ALL.. She worked my nerves something terrible. I was praying this got better cos she just came off as really judgmental & way too naive. Qualities I HATE to see in a lead heroine. But she wasn't naive in a clueless way. I think I could have dealt with that better.

She was more naive in like a I've chosen to bury my common sense & instincts in the sand for the sake of my sanity. And though you've actually lived & experienced more than me, you still don't know more than me- type of way.

Yeah. Nerve. Wrecking.

But thankfully by the 45% mark she got way more tolerable to me. And eventually I came to respect & really like her. It was at this point that the story started to move along & actually take shape as well. And her interactions with Storm were way more interesting. Entertaining, sexy & heartfelt.

Storm I must admit, is a sweetheart. A sexy sweetheart. I do so love him. And I felt for him. He broke my heart & caused me to cheer for the sheer strength in him when it came to battling his demons. Allowing himself to feel, love, & grow. It was beautiful.

But like I said in my review for Lukas No one else in this series will EVER capture & hold my heart like Lukas does. He's ruined me for any other guy here! LOL

So I was on the fence about reading book 2. After reading book 3 first, and now book 1, I think I must now give Vandal's story a try.

Though I've read these out of sequence, I do think this book was a decent intro to this series. So based on books 3 & 1 alone, I would recommend this series.

Happy Reading :)
