Playing it safe and following orders has never been so hot and readers can’t help but feel the burn and intense emotions of this m/m paranormal romance. Nate and Gil are strong, captivating characters that easily grab readers’ attention and holds them hostage throughout their gripping romance that has chemistry sizzling and sending sparks flying from every page. Since these guys have been denying their attraction for quite some time, readers can easily picture the explosive passion and the intense emotional toil flows from Nate and Gil throughout this romance, also their relationship is further complicated by home situations and the fact that they work on the same rescue team.
The story takes place at a steady pace that keeps readers glued to the pages of this intense and heated romance and the anticipation of just where this romance will end up keeps building throughout. Readers can’t help but be entertained by the relationship between Gil and Nate as the story progresses because of some amusing and delightful interactions between the couple during their work day while some emotional turbulent interactions adds depth to the romance and ensures that readers can’t help but hope that this couple reaches their happily ever after.

The newest Rogue Rescue romance shocks readers with gripping emotions and thrilling suspense. Ian and Trick are two strong, captivating males that easily draw readers into their story. The relationship starts off with a hurdle to be overcome but then both move on the sizzling heat that burns between them while trying to adjust to the changes in their lives and on the team. The romance is sweet but with lots of emotional turmoil that adds depth and makes it easy for the readers to understand where these characters are coming from. Ian’s past plays a major part of the emotional turmoil and Trick is fundamental in adding a positive influence in Ian’s emotional issues, which surprises readers as well as the characters. There is a bit of a lopsided view of this couple as readers are given more detail about Ian and less about Trick, which readers may feel would make the romance a bit better, but doesn’t stop them from enjoying it.
The story is fast paced and flows smoothly from the pages with their searing romance but with added excitement of death defying rescue missions and an unexpected twists that answers some questions regarding Ian but adds more in relation to the team. The unique shifters and their roles in this fascinating world makes for a really great change in shifter romances and the author brings it all to vivid life with great detailing that makes it easy for the readers to imagine each and every scene. This romance can be read as a standalone story, but readers may find that reading the previous books gives them a better understanding of this fascinating world as the conclusion definitely lets readers know that there is more going on.

While finding out about Lupo's past is interesting, there isn't much mystery in this book. Everything more or less solves itself without any detective work.
Shaw’s book is essentially a brief log describing a summer family sailing trip across the Mediterranean during the early 1960s. Each chapter offers a brief journal-like description of a particular stop along the journey, which took the family across southern France, Italy, Greece and Yugoslavia. Rather than providing a traditional guided reflection of noteworthy sights and sounds, Shaw offers simple impressions of place and snippets of his personal interactions with various locals, as well as named and unnamed celebrities.
The book reads like a scrapbook of reflections. The reader can’t help but picture Shaw himself revisiting this journal, looking back and reminding himself of this place and that, strange encounters and the fun had by all. Some descriptions are purposefully left obscure, yet are still retained. There is personal significance in what’s stated, and because of this, the reader can at times feel left out of the loop.
However, Shaw’s book does provide important insights into foreigner-native exchanges and how these interactions are affected by the class distinctions present during the mid-twentieth century. In this respect, Shaw’s little journal holds an important significance for the modern scholarly reader.
