Cute
In the Penalty Box - Lynn Rush,Kelly Anne Blount

Willow just wants to work on her skating, what she has left of it.  The career adjusting injury has made her life something she never thought she would see.  Now she has been given a chance for something different. Does she have the guts?

Brodie is attracted to the amazing girl he does not want to like.  It seems mutual, but teenage attraction is never that simple.  When his teammates taunt him into hanging out with the good looking skater, he may get more than he bargained for.

This story was cute and charming, in a teen snarky kind of way.  I am not sure if I liked it at first, but I loved the honesty between the characters.  I was fully vested by the third chapter and I couldn't wait to read the end.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Frenemies
I Hate You, Fuller James - Kelly Anne Blount

Wren and Fuller have history.  That's right, and not the good kind either.  Wren had been hurt repeatedly by being treated so poorly by the "in" crowd, of which Fuller is the leader, basically.

Fuller is getting into some trouble academically.  His coach has a plan - but does not want anyone to know.  So Fuller treats it as he is interested in Wren, instead.  Little does he know how much truth is like fiction.

This was such an amazing story!  I had never read this author's work before, but you can bet I will again.  I hope we revisit this group at this school.  There seems like a lot of potential for a series here.  I loved the banter, and even how enemies were able to become friends.  I found the story very compelling.  Deeper characters than meets the eye, it was a rich read with a lot more to it than originally thought.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

One Foot in the Grove
One Foot in the Grove - Kelly Lane After she leaves a man at the altar in Boston for the second time, Eva Knox heads home to her family’s plantation in Abundance, Georgia to regroup and soak up some Southern charm. But hiding from her woes is a more slipper situation than Eva ever imagined it would be. Most of the people in town haven’t forgiven her for leaving Buck Tanner at the altar and running away up north eighteen years ago. When a murder happens on her family’s olive farm, soon makes her the lead suspect and the sheriff investigating is none other than Eva’s former fiance Buck. With the police setting their sights on her, it’s up to Eva with some help from her sisters, Pep and Daphne to figure out who the killer is. And they will have to catch the killer rather quickly, because Eva has been picked as the killers next victim.

The sisters are each independent, witty, and unique in their own individual way. The author describes the town and people so well you can picture them both in your mind as you read the book. The mystery is well written with plenty of twists and suspects, that make the reveal of the killer a nice surprise. The only drawback I had with the book was with Eva's ongoing internal dialogues, and fantasizing that go on for far too long.

One Week in December (One Week in Love Book 3)
One Week in December (One Week in Love B... One Week in December (One Week in Love Book 3) - Alexis Anne,Audra North,Julia Kelly,Alexandra Haughton Short And Sweet. As always too short, but well written, developed stories for the most part. They run the gambit from breathless anticipation to graphic sensuality, each of these stories hits the spot and leaves just enough room for dessert. Moments of imperfect romance with flashes of humor, wrapped up in a heart-warming holiday theme.

Grishma
Grishma - Kelly Anne Blount I loved this book! Right from the beginning I was interested in finding out more. Then with a crazy twist, I found out more than I thought I was going to! The author has created a whole new world with interesting names of people, places, and creatures. Add in some potion making and royal politics alongside and you get a very creative, interesting read that was hard for me to put down. I'm definitely looking forward to starting the next book!
