Short Kindle Freebie Round Up
The Alcohol Murders: The True Story of Serial Killer Gilbert Paul Jordan (Crimes Canada: True Crimes That Shocked The Nation Book 10) - Harriet Fox,RJ Parker,Aeternum Designs,Peter Vronsky
The Severan Dynasty: The History and Legacy of the Ancient Roman Empire’s Rulers Before Rome’s Imperial Crisis - Charles River Editors
The Gurkhas: The History and Legacy of the Nepalese Soldiers Used by the British Empire in India - Charles River Editors
Akhenaten and Amarna: The History of Ancient Egypt’s Most Mysterious Pharaoh and His Capital City - Charles River Editors

The Harriet Fox about Gilbert Paul Jordan is good.  It has much information as Harriet Fox could find. The writing is good. The case overview is fine. I just wish there had been a bit more about the possibility that the backgrounds of the women whom he killed and whether their race and/or case had something to do with the lack of a case or investigation. (three stars)

As for the Charles River Editors book.  The stand out is the one about Akhenaten and Amarna which includes a detailed analysis of the queens of the time.  The Serveran and Gurkhas ones (4 and 3 stars) are good overviews.

Gotten as a kindle freebie
Luka Magnotta: True Story of a Canadian Psycho (Crimes Canada : True Crimes That Shocked The Nation Book 5) - Peter Vronsky,Rj Parker,Aeternum Designs,Cara Lee Carter

This a good short history of the Luka Magnotta case. You should be warned that there are some graphic photos and description, but Carter warns you in text so you can skip those sections.

I'm not sure if the introductory bits about psychology is correct though. It seems like an over-simplification.

Spider-man Spider-men
Spider-Men - Sara Pichelli,Brian Michael Bendis

This has to be one of my favorite spin-off series ever. I just LOVE this 5 part comic series. I can't recommend it enough.

Peter Parker finds Mysterio using a interdenominational portal to another dimension. And of course Peter gets sucked into the portal. When he is teleported fully to the other side of the portal, he finds out that it's still the same New York City he loves and protects. But as he goes around the city he finds out everyone knows that Peter Parker is Spider-man (and his costume is in bad taste) and not only that. But.... Peter Parker Died a few months back. He's confused and scared and goes swinging through the city trying to figure out what's going on. And It just gets weirder and weirder from there! PLEASE please please pick this comic up in graphic novel form or comic form! It's so superb and amazing!

Thanks for reading <3

Peter Parker Spider-Man: Back in Black
Peter Parker Spider-Man: Back in Black - Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa,Matt Fraction,Sean McKeever,Angel Medina Several stories featuring Spiderman in the new black costume, he has to deal with Venom, Aunt May's illness, genetically altered youths and several more issues. It's an interesting set of stories with some information about some of Spiderman's foes over the years and some thoughts about alternative issues he's had to deal with.
