Facts And Doubts Associated With Organ Donation

Before taking a pledge for organ donation. Let’s check out some facts and doubts associated with organ donation

If you have query or doubt regarding tissue and organ donation procedure. In this article, I try to resolve them with the following facts about organ donation.

After you die, you can save the lives of at least eight people

There are 8 organs that can be donated: heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, and small intestine. Your tissues can likewise improve the quality of life of many ill people; tissues you can donate include your bone, bone marrow, skin, bone tissue including cartilage and tendons, blood vessels and heart valves.

Anyone can be a donor

Anyone can enroll as an organ donor: old, young, sick or sound. Indeed, even foreigners are allowed to sign up immediately. The donation includes numerous organs and tissues, which implies people who are sick or using medication can even say 'yes'; if sickness or medication would render a specific organ unsuitable for donation, there will other organs that could be good for a transplant.

A doctor can't decide if the organs and tissues are appropriate for donation until after the donor has passed away. You are never too old to even consider donating either; there is always a chanced that you can donate an organ or tissue, whatever your age.

The chances of you requiring an organ donation are a lot higher than the chances of having the capacity to donate once you die

It is possible that you will require an organ donation at some point in your life than that you will probably donate one yourself; it is just conceivable to donate an organ if you die in hospital. Much of the time, this occurs when an individual is a brain dead after a cerebral hemorrhage. This implies that they are legally dead; however artificial respiration can keep the organs supplied with oxygen-rich blood, enabling them to stay suitable for transplanting.

The fact that organ donation is so frequently impossible is the thing that makes it so important that as many people as possible register becomes donors.

Someone who is declared brain dead is legally and clinically dead. Brain death is different than a persistent vegetative state or coma.

Brain dead occurs when an individual has a catastrophic brain injury, cerebrum damage, which causes absolute cessation of all brain function. The protocol to be pronounced brain dead is similar to whether a person is an organ donor or not.

Everybody waiting for an organ transplant is treated fairly with respect. Target medical criteria decide how donated organs are allocated to patients on the transplant waiting list.

A national system matches donated organs to individuals on the waiting list dependent on a number of factors including the donor’s body size, blood type, tissue type, the severity of illness of potential recipients, and length of time someone has been waiting on the list. The ethnicity, gender, race, sexual orientation or economic wellbeing of the donor or potential recipients is never taken into consideration.

"The Last Arrow" by Erwin Raphael McManus

My Thoughts....

What a very interesting inspirational read where I enjoyed the stories that came from the Bible of Elisha and Elijah where one will learn how to embrace ones future. From this read I had thoughts of wanting to change my way of thinking about my future and just what I need to be now doing. This read will definitely give one a good understanding of what is asked of 'you and what is God's will not selling yourself short or giving up.'

This is definitely a inspiring read for one who wants a change in ones life where you find yourself just existing. One will be inspired and challenged to live a 'bold, purposeful and intentional life' where you can rise up and believe God for much more.

In the end "The Last Arrow" will definitely be a challenge and motivated to see you where you are now and what you are doing with your life. All in all 'The Last Arrow' deals with 'leadership, personal grown and most of all Christ like living' where one is given direction in just how one can be active in God's plan for our life's. Would I recommend this read? YES! It is a wonderful good read for ones soul.

If you’ve ever wanted to read a book that makes you feel good...
How to Save a Life (Howl at the Moon Book 4) - Eli Easton

...leaves you smiling and wanting more and makes you laugh every time you talk to your own fur baby and he tilts his head at you like every word out of your mouth is vitally important and he knows exactly what you’re saying and you’ve been left wondering “How much do you truly understand?”…you need to stop right now and check out Eli Easton’s ‘Howl at the Moon’ series because it will do all that and more.

I love this series…from ‘How to Howl at the Moon’ to ‘How to Save a Life’ we are introduced to some of the most adorable and loving characters a reader could hope to meet. ‘How to Save a Life’ simply continues this tradition as we watch Rav and Sammy meet and fall in love.

Rav was first introduced to us in book #3 ‘How to Wish Upon a Star’. He runs a rescue shelter in Arizona that cares for older and hard to place dogs frequently saving them from surrounding shelters known to have a high kill and this is how Rav and Sammy first come to encounter each other. It’s when Rav looks into Sammy’s eyes after rescuing him from a shelter where his time was running out because dogs are euthanized after 90 days that Rav’s reminded of the dogs he’d met from Mad Creek.

Sammy’s life as a dog hasn’t been good. After losing his first person and then being cared for by her sister who loves him but has an abusive partner, Sammy ends up being taken to a local shelter knowing that her partner will only continue to hurt Sammy and she’d sworn to her sister that she’d care for him.

Ironically, it’s Sammy’s escape from Rav’s shelter that brings both Sammy and Rav to Mad Creek. While Rav’s drawn to Sammy, it’s actually Mad Creek that calls to him and makes him want to settle there. Rav’s never been a big fan of people but his love of dogs is strong and what motivated him to start a rescue shelter. It’s not until Rav arrives in Mad Creek that he actually meets Sammy in his human form.

While Rav is a confident dog loving, bad boy, biker dude who spends his days rescuing dogs. Sammy is a sweet, earnest, naïve and eager to please newly quickened Chocolate Lab.

When Rav sees Sammy for the first time he’s definitely attracted to him but he also realizes that if he’s going to get close to Sammy it’s going to take time and patience and since staying in Mad Creek is Rav’s end game giving Sammy some space is something he can do.

This one’s a slow burn and probably one of the sweetest building romances I’ve read in a long time…possibly ever. Sammy’s incredible sweetness and innocence combined with his wonky sense of humor and enthusiasm for his new human form and just life in general was for me irresistible, especially when combined with Rav’s patience and the pleasure that he got from just being with Sammy to make this story a total treat to read from start to finish.

Along with Rav and Sammy’s story we get to enjoy catching up with the other couples from Mad Creek that we were introduced to in previous stories as the town of Mad Creek pulls together to not only save their town but ensure its future.

I’m not sure if Ms Easton has more planned for this series but if she does then just sign me up because I’m there and if this is the end of the journey than I can’t really complain because the trips been a whole lot of fun and puppy love and everyone knows you can never go wrong if there are fur babies involved.

Review: How To Save A Life (Howl at the Moon Series #4) by Eli Easton
How to Save a Life (Howl at the Moon Book 4) - Eli Easton

I just love this series. Get comfortable on the couch and just enjoy..... Sammy's history was horrible and it hurt his trust in humans. Rav had different experiences with humans and was let down also. Basically they were perfect for each other.

favorite quote;

"Famous old saying?" Sammy asked with a smile in his voice.

"Famous old saying."

"How about a new saying? 'When a man is a hero, he deserves to be sexed in the ass.'" Sammy cracked up, like this was the funniest thing.

Rav rolled his eyes. "Your sense of humor, Sammy…."

"It's good?" Sammy looked at Rav hopefully.

"It's fucking perfect," Rav said.

Although this book ended in a nicely-wrapped-up HEA, I can't imagine never reading about Mad Creek any more!!! What about Simon and the mysterious Rex? Surely Ms Easton can give us their stories???
