New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the world of the Reapers Motorcycle Club…
Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me.
Or maybe not.
Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.
Right from the first.
Shade's Lady Excerpt“You get to travel,” I told him, frustrated. “In a few weeks or a month or whatever you’ll leave this place. You’ll go see things and do things, and for some reason you seem to have enough money to live on without taking a shitty job waiting tables.”
Shade snorted. “Mandy, you don’t wanna know how I get my money.”
“Let me guess—it’s bad?” I asked, rolling my eyes. “I’m starting to think I’m genetically incapable of being attracted to a good guy. No offense.”
“None taken,” he replied, offering a slow smile. “I’m not a good man. But I’m not a man who’ll drag you down into the dirt, either. Or let you get caught up in club business. The Reapers have been around for a long time and we’re real good at taking care of our people. I’m not sayin’ I’ll never need a getaway car, but if I do, I sure as shit won’t trick my woman into driving it.”
God, how was he so sexy when he was saying such terrible things? And that knowing, naughty look in his eyes…it wasn’t fair.
“This is crazy,” I said, trying hard not to smile back at him. “I need to get to work and you need to go do whatever it is that you do that may or may not involve getaway cars”
Shade’s Lady is a seductive and delicious little addition to the Reaper’s MC series!
Shade is the national president of the Reaper’s MC and he is not used to having to work to get a woman in his bed. Mandy who’s beautiful and sassy is proving to be the exception, but when Shade sets his eye on her, she needs to prepare for a wild ride!
Mandy has a serious mistrust of men given her track record and those of her mother and sister you can see why. She can’t deny that Shade is one helluva sexy and commanding man, but she’s had her fill of men causing her nothing but trouble. When Mandy’s current good time (boyfriend) makes a mistake she shows how much spirit and attitude she has, this only intrigues Shade more. These too have one passionate, wild, and erotic ride. The sexual tension and passion is off the charts between them.
Mandy’s only soft spot is her sister and nieces. You see the love and protectiveness she has for them. When Mandy’s sister Hannah’s poor choice in a man comes back to bite them it will put Mandy, Hannah, and the girls into danger. Mandy has this mistrust/hatred towards the cops and she fears letting a powerful man, like Shade, into to help, so she is torn on what to do. Shade and the MC show what they can do and Hannah’s new boo will surprise everyone.
Shade’s Lady has a little drama and no shortage of titillating and spicy moments. Mandy’s inner monologue with herself and Wonder Woman had me laughing. This was a pleasurable read! My only complaint is I wanted more of Shade and Mandy.
