Frustrating
Slow Burn - A.K. MacBride

This is book #2 in the Breathing Hearts series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To understand the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Maddie got a first impression of the new neighbor.  Hint: It was not a good one. He was flat out rude. He was also hot as hell.  If she can get her mind of that magnificent tattooed bod, thinks may start looking up.

Adam misses his old life.  Moving to make a change, he left behind parents, career and everything that was familiar.  Now he has a neighbor with a dog who won't leave him alone.  Would be easier if he could ignore them both.

Between fighting the attraction and fighting one another, the sparks just literally continue to fly.  The heat is raring hot and the characters are intriguing.  I liked the pace and the story was a great read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Slow Burn: Destroyer, Book 3, a novel by Bobby Adair
Slow Burn: Destroyer - Bobby Adair

Slow Burn: Destroyer, Book 3, a novel by Bobby Adair is a compelling book. I gave it four stars.

I received a complimentary copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.

"But the brave medical staff, holed up on the tenth floor of the hospital, and running out of provisions, has decided to take matters in hand by exposing themselves to the virus, and shooting those who “turn.”"

A Slow Burn (Dragon Royalty #1) - Terri A. Wilson

A modern dragon straddling the worlds of tradition and the past, Remington Montgomery’s drive for advancement made him one of Atlanta’s finest detectives and one the most sought-after bachelors. Her family pushes her to win in every area of life and raised her to sit on the throne as the reigning Dragon Queen, but no one ever bothered to ask Dai Ito what she wants. They have a love – hate relationship but during a Beltane proclamation Fate chooses them to reign as king and queen. Can they put aside their differences in order to work together to find Dai’s sister when she goes missing?

This romance is a slow burning one where the strong, captivating hero and heroine are thrown together in a situation neither of them wanted. The chemistry sizzles and their relationship is full of passion as the couple put aside their differences for the destiny that Fate has thrown at them but also to find Dai’s sister who has been captured by the very villain that Remington is investigating.

The plot is fast paced and covers a wide range of happenings throughout the story keeps the readers glued to the pages. Although the story is a little short and doesn’t provide a lot of the finer details, the story has an interesting approach to dragons which spices things up and the Artemis Hunters are intriguing and adds thrilling suspense to the story as they seem to be just getting started with some devious plan.

Audio Review:  The Slow Burn (Moonlight and Motor Oil #2) by: Kristen Ashley (author) Stella Bloom (narrator) Lance Greenfield (narrator)

Ashley has a way of grabbing hold of a heart and never letting go. The Slow Burn makes it easy to understand why. Addie and Toby have both experienced less than perfect. Just as they are ready to throw in the towel, love presents itself. At the worst possible time. Do they take a chance or walk away? I had the pleasure of discovering their journey in audio. Bloom and Greenfield brought life to an already emotional read. It felt like watching a movie unfold. There is something about hearing the words that stirs the inner workings of every emotion. I loved the experience.

Slow Burn (Iron Horse Book 2) by Danielle Norman
Slow Burn - Danielle Norman

No one can break a heart quite like Danielle Norman. The impact feels brutal, but the emotional purge is empowering. Slow Burn is like a road map to the heart. Asher and Paris are a bundle of insecurities fighting to become whole. Paris sees the world with the damaged heart of a seven year old girl doing her best to be perfect. Asher is the kind of man, who wants to be happy and is willing to take the hard road to get there. What happens when forever comes calling but doubt has you too scared to answer? When kindred spirits become crippled by heartache anything is possible. Norman takes hearts down an emotionally treacherous path to remind them falling in love is not always smooth sailing, but a learning curve.
