It’s a good thing that there is lots of sizzling chemistry between them and that they are trapped in an underwater research facility so that the sexy alpha has a few days to try to convince Jenna that she has nothing to fear from him.

The steady paced plot keeps readers engaged with lots of heated clashes, suspense, snark and excitement and that is just in the first half of the book. By the time, readers reach the second half of the book, a rival pack is attacking Alexander’s pack and causing chaos and destruction, so readers can’t help but enjoy all of this excitement and passion found in this romance.

Used to getting what he wants, Daniel Wolfe picks Jade out from the crowd of screaming females willing to do anything to pleasure him. He’s convinced that she’s the One, His Beloved, but he isn’t prepared for the feisty girl who loathes vampires. She will sacrifice anything to protect her orphaned little brother, but when Jade is forced to join a reality show, she has to survive hell and temptation to get the money to pay for her brother’s treatment. She only has to endure Daniel’s seductive games for a week but everything is not what it seems and despite her secret past, Jade may be facing a worse danger than being bitten…falling in love.

This first book in the ‘Mate’ series is quite an energetic and crazy whirlwind of a courtship…and by whirlwind, I mean chaos. The characters are strong and quite likeable with the hero, Daniel being a bit over the top and the heroine, Jade, being feisty and strong in her dislike of vampires. Therefore the romance has sparks flying and heated clashes happening throughout along with all the passion that burns between them. Lots of emotional turmoil flows from the pages as well ensuring that readers can really understand these characters and their motivations.

The plots is fast paced with lots of thrilling suspense and excitement building as the story progresses, especially as there is some serious opposition to this mating coming from every direction. Some unexpected twists and turns keeps readers on their toes as they stay completely absorbed by all the delightfully interesting and entertaining things going on in this story which also provides some fun filled moments as well.
