I've always been fascinated with the paranormal. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with my love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal author seems like the logical choice! I love ghosts, psychics, werewolves, vampires, demons, and even the occasional guardian angel. If it's paranormal, I've probably written about it...or at least considered writing about it.

In my past life, I was a high school journalism teacher. But after ten years of teaching other people how to write, I decided to stay home with my kids and write my own stories in my free time. When I'm not writing or reading books about writing, you'll find me reading paranormal romances, thrillers, romantic suspense, YA, and middle grade fantasy (I have a teen and a tween who love to read. It's fun to discuss books with them!).

I love red wine and chocolate, and I can make a mean mojito. I like movies, I'm passionate about traveling, and I might have a mild Dave and Buster's addiction. I'm married to a tall sexy Dutch guy with piercing blue eyes and a swoon-worthy accent. He also shares my enthusiasm for D&B! This scorching hot and emotionally gripping holiday romance captures hearts and makes readers wish for three sexy partners to be put in their Christmas stockings. All the characters are strong, captivating and draw readers to them with their vulnerabilities, personalities and intense passion. The relationship between this foursome is complicated and slowly develops over time as they Jayce and Cole open their hearts and their relationship to Sergei and Polly and accepting them as part of their family. The passion is abundant throughout the story and the intimate scenes range from hot to scorching and include – mm, mmm, and mmmf scenes. The story also gives readers the emotional perspective of all four characters throughout which ensures that readers fall in love with them all.

 

The story is fast paced and has an unexpected seamless flow which makes it easy for readers to become completely caught up in the story. The author does a great job of integrating the various perspectives, present lives and future hopes into this story so that while Polly is learning how to adapt to this time period, it doesn’t interrupt the flow of the story or how the present progresses. Also, the Abbott holds the foursomes happiness in his hands and the characters are uncertain of building a relationship that could be broken apart which adds an intriguing bit of suspense that further enhances this heartwarming holiday romance.

Grace returns to Legacy where her heart had been broken. I loved how she aspired to be the person she once was, to overcome the damage her ex had done to her. She put family first even when she thought she was losing her mind. Beau was a caring and patient man. I enjoyed his interactions with Grace's children and mother. Once Grace accepted Beau and all that she had seen, the strength they had together was nice to see. I enjoyed this story and have enjoyed the series.

I learned of this book through the Candid Book Review group, and this is my unsolicited review.

Too funny this one is..
We get a Fairy.. Actually she is The Fairy Extrodainaire Krissy. At two hundred years old one would think marriage would have happened but it hasn't. Why not?
Well the man she loves more than life is none other than
Cupid the God of Love. Love? Ha if that man knew what love was..Well that is Krissy' thoughts.

This is a short but too dang cute and sexy book.
For a good short read pick it up so you can giggle along.

Alisa Woods continues to amaze me with her thrilling and creative stories in the Fallen Immortals Series.  Book six, TOUCHED BY A DRAGON held me mesmerized.  The story takes place after book five, SEDUCED BY A DRAGON, continuing Leonidas' and Rosalyn's story.  They are still in the French Keep.  In book five, Rosalyn was infected with a demon.  Now she is pregnant, and the witches and dragons are trying to come up with a solution to save her and her unborn dragonling.

 

My heart broke for Leonidas and Rosalyn.  They truly love each other and their unborn child.  It seemed like they could not catch any breaks.  There were many unexpected twists and unforeseen surprises; especially concerning some of the people that tried to help the couple. The plot was incredibly carefully thought out and exciting.  The characters are likeable and believable.  There were fascinating conflicts, particularly among family members on both sides.  Plus, there was lots of steamy romance. 

 

Alisa Woods is a gifted and creative writer.  I have never been disappointed by any of her work that I have read far.  I’m really looking forward to Leksander and Erelah story.  I’m curious how Erelah is going to respond to Leksander.  She seems so clueless, and he is hopelessly in love with her.  It should be interesting.  I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
