A VERY GOOD HATER by Mary Challis
A Very Good Hater - Mary Challis

A mother reenters her ex-husband and daughter's lives wanting custody of the child. Witnesses will state that the father is unfit to have the child. It is up to Jeremy Locke to prove these women wrong. Then murder happens and he has to keep his client from going to prison.

I enjoyed this story. It started slow but did get better as Jeremy started to investigate these women and the past of the ex-wife. The murder made it more interesting and I admit I never saw the ending coming. I suspected someone else the whole time.

I liked the domesticity shown with Jeremy's wife and her pregnancy. I also like her opposition to him taking the case. She was spunky but a lot like me on suspects.

I'd read more of this series.

Oh I Hated Reading This
My Lovely Wife - Samantha Downing

My Lovely Wife I hated the book, and yet couldn't put it down. The characters were all hideous, the perfect family unit. A husband and wife, two children, a san and daughter living in a suburban dream. The story kind of slow in the beginning, well everything was ordinary real life daily stuff for a while. Things didn’t stay normal very long, things got weirder and weirder as these characters developed their tastes. I thought I knew, I did, till the end then I suffered whiplash. Holy Shiitake what a story.  I hated them all !Thank you to the publishers for honoring me with a copy of this book for an honest review

quote 2018-05-02 07:23
He reached across the car and took my hand. "I know I haven't been around as much," he said, "but after today, my schedule won't be so busy."

"I understand," I said softly. And I did. "Football is your life. It's your dream."

He made a sound. "You're just as important to me."

I smiled. "I have to admit I won't be upset when this game is over and all the girls around here stop wearing your number all over their bodies."

His white teeth flashed. "Is someone jealous?"

I snorted.

His smile grew wider.

"Maybe a little," I admitted.

He lunged forward and in seconds had me in his lap, my legs straddling him so we were face to face. He buried his hands in my tangled disaster of hair. I admit I hadn't even brushed it when we got out of bed this morning.

"You're my favorite girl," he whispered.

"I better be your only girl."

He smiled. "That too.”

Awww, young love...

#Hater (Hashtag Series Book 2) - Cambria Hebert

Such a great continuation of this series. I loved the fact that through it all, Romeo and Rimmel stayed together. I know it couldn't have been easy but they never doubted each other.

The ending was very dramatic. I have no idea what's going to happen next. But, I sincerely hope that the hater gets exactly what's coming to his psycho self!
