Install New High Tech Transcend DrivePro Dashcam for Low-Cost Security Monitoring of Your Car

If you’re on the road a lot, you surely want to install only the most efficient car dashboard camera in the market. But choosing the best often means paying more money, right? Not necessarily. If you want to get a car dashboard camera that is inexpensive yet doesn't compromise performance, pick Transcend DrivePro. Here are some of the remarkable features that a Transcend DrivePro can offer to keep you safer out there.

High definition cameras

Most models of Transcend DrivePro dashboard cameras use Sony Image Sensors, which are some of the most popular options in the world of image sensors. They are known for being more sensitive to light than average image sensors found in many dashcams. Because of this, Transcend's dashcams record crisper, sharper, and clearer images so that even the smallest details on plate numbers are identifiable. Moreover, their HD cameras have larger pixel areas, making it possible to record clear videos at night or in low-light situations. The fact that they use HD cams and excellent Sony Image Sensors is by far the biggest edge of this brand over others.

Emergency video recording

Transcend DrivePro has become popular because of its high-tech features, one of which is called the G-sensor. This feature comes in handy during emergency situations like car accidents and minor collisions. A G-sensor automatically causes the camera to record emergency videos when the dashcam detects a minor collision or a slight bump. These emergency video recordings are locked and cannot be overwritten. They can only be deleted manually. This ensures that you have video footage to submit as evidence that you were in an accident to the authorities and to your insurance company.

Smartphone application

Transcend's dashcams have notably large display screens. What’s more, the manufacturer added Wi-Fi capability to these cameras to make them more user-friendly. By connecting the dashcam to your smartphone, you can easily control the unit, adjust the settings, and even view video recordings.

Tempt by Natalia Jaster

Holy smokes Batman - this was a scorching read! *fans self* It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Natalia Jaster's books but this one might just be my favourite yet (and that's a massive compliment because I totally adore all of her other works!) I loved absolutely everything about Tempt: the characters, the setting, the story... it was sheer perfection. Hades and Persephone retellings are totally a weakness I never knew I had. Throw in an enemies to lovers trope and I am in literary heaven!

Full disclosure: I'm on Natalia's ARC Team but this in no way has influenced my rating. I was so happy to be sent this little beauty. It went a long way to cure me of the book hangover I had been suffering from and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time!

Now, enough waffling... onto the review!

At the end of Torn (the second book in the Selfish Myths series), Wonder first set eyes on Malice, the malevolent exile god whose appearance managed to rattle the normally unflappable deity. Malice too seemed to be affected by Wonder. This interesting little altercation left me salivating for their backstory so when I found out the next book would be about them, well I was very happy, to say the least!

Wonder is part of a class of gods and goddesses that have dared to go against their makers. Love fell for a mortal boy, Anger fell hard for a failed goddess. Now it is Wonder's turn.

A celestial battle approaches and any advantage could mean the difference between life and death. Wonder knows she will need to gather as much information as she can in order to defeat her enemies. The only problem is that she will have to put her trust (and fate) in the hands of Malice, a former god now exiled and a prisoner of the gang.

The two of them have to break into a subterranean library relying on only their wits to get them where they need to go and each other. A precarious situation, for sure. Wonder isn't sure of Malice's intentions and is even less sure of her own conflicting feelings for the sharp-tongued exile. For Malice is the spitting image of her lost love - a mortal whose downfall she played a huge part in and for which she still carries a load of guilt.

But Malice couldn't possibly be her lost love, could he? It just wouldn't be possible... still, stranger things have already happened and as she gets closer to Malice, she begins to see that what she thought wouldn't have been possible is becoming more and more likely the more she gets to know Malice.

The two grow closer as they spend time in their favourite domain: both of them are scholars at heart, and Wonder sees new sides to Malice each day they are ensconced among the forbidden tomes. However, Wonder will find herself torn between the love she once felt for her mortal boy and the ever-increasing feelings she has for his celestial doppelganger. She will have to make a choice and in doing so may forever break her own heart...

Alright, I was intrigued for Wonder and Malice's pairing, I will not deny it, but I wasn't prepared for just how swept up I would become in their story. Their relationship was everything I never knew I needed. I was full-on swooning!

I have always had a soft spot for Wonder. I love bookish types and her character just always appealed to me right from the very first book. I was intrigued by her backstory and the suffering she endured as punishment for her supposed transgressions.

Malice also drew me in from his first appearance in Torn. I do love a bad boy but Malice was something else entirely. He was a villain - no doubt about it - but I really wanted to know what made him the way he was and when I realized he was destined for Wonder I was very curious to see how his redemption would play out.

I was not disappointed. His growth is this book was nothing short of phenomenal. Wonder played a part in this but it wasn't just love that was responsible for his recovery and eventual healing. Learning about his past and shaking off the demons that came with it was very satisfying and cathartic.

There was nothing I didn't enjoy about Tempt. The story was amazing and Wonder and Malice are now my very favourite power couple of this series! It was great also catching up with Love and Andrew, Merry and Anger, and Sorrow and Envy (can't wait for their book!) The story is falling into place nicely, the stakes are high and the characters are poised for action. They are on the precipice of war - not just to change the fates but for their very own survival. I can't wait to see how this is resolved in Transcend (and isn't that title fabulous?)

Transphobia: Deal with it and be a gender transcender (Lorimer Deal With It)
Transphobia: Deal with it and be a gende... Transphobia: Deal with it and be a gender transcender (Lorimer Deal With It) - j wallace skelton I chose to read Transphobia: Deal with It and be a Gender Transcender because I am in the process of overcoming my own transphobia and figured a kids book that explained things super simply would be a good place to start. I stand up for Trans rights because I know that being transphobic is wrong. I know that it doesn't matter what gender a person is. I know it, and yet part of me still has trouble accepting it.

Transphobia is a 32 page book for Canadian children that deals both with how to deal with transphobia both as an outsider and as someone who is trans. It gives tips for educating yourself and people around you for people who are not trans, but wanting to know more about it. It has sections designed to help kids who are trans make their needs known.

I really liked the "Dear Conflict Counselor" and "Dear Dr. Shrink Wrapped" sections. I think Wallace did a good job in keeping the questions simple and on a level kids can understand. And the answers are very clear cut. At the same time, though, they're questions even adults might think (at least a variation of) so it is good for adults to read too!

The Transphobia Myths section covered all the common myths that I've heard and gave rebuttals for them.

The Quiz section had potential, but it felt a little off for kids. It was aimed specifically at kids who are questioning their gender, and asking them how they would react to various situations. The reactions were labeled with 'put up' 'speak up' or 'flare up' but there was no explanation as to why the kids should choose one or the other. (I can think of some adults who wouldn't know why, so I definitely get concerned about kids comprehension of it.)

Side note: There was one illustration in this section (referencing trans being a new thing) that (to me) looked like it was referring to Shakespeare's characters on stage. I was a bit confused by that because I didn't think that playing a role on stage (because girls didn't traditionally act back then) made someone considered trans.

I really liked the Choice of... section. It probably had the greatest impact on me, just because it put how to deal with things so easily.

There were things I wish they would have went into a little bit more detail on for kids. For example, one of the dos and don't section says "don't speak up on behalf of a targeted group you aren't a part of" - and that's good advice, but maybe explain to kids why they shouldn't do that.

Overall, it wasn't quite as good as I was hoping it would be, but I think it's a great starter book for kids who need to learn about Transphobia.

ARC Review: Transcend by West Thornhill
Transcend - West Thornhill

I requested this on a lark after reading the blurb and thinking that sounds interesting. And it was. Not only does the book deal with super powers like telekinesis, but hey, shifters!

I cried for the abuse Gael had to endure at the hands of his "uncle", though it did piss me off when more of that backstory is revealed, and his father sees him for the first time in many, many, many years. Father of the year, he's not.

I liked Jason's gentle nature with Gael, and I liked that he knew, for the most part, how to treat the shy, scared young man his inner lion has fallen for, hard. I loved how the author let the relationship develop, that it wasn't compulsive on Gael's part, and that Jason never got pushy.

This book is the first in a new series, and that partially shows. There's a lot of info we're given about the Fillmore agency, about the other characters that play a role, though some of it is not explained fully, and I hope that will be addressed in future installment.

There's also a lot (A LOT) of action going on in this book, and the slowly developing romance doesn't take center stage. Lots of great snark, and typical older teenage behavior, but strong loyalty runs through all of the characters, and that shows as well.

Overall, a great first installment, and I am very interested in reading more of this series.

** I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. A positive review was not promised in return. **

Transcend
Transcend - West Thornhill I had POV issues with this book. At times the POV shifts were downright annoying and other times they seemed very necessary due to the complexity of each character. But although it started out a little rough for me, after a few chapters the story settled down and flowed really well. And darned if I didn't just love this book by the time I got to the end. It was a good solid story with great characters and I can't wait to read the next one.
