“Are you sure this isn’t crazy?”

“Oh, I’m sure it is crazy. But isn’t that our thing? Or have you gotten boring now?”

Accidentally Family - Sasha Summers

Felicity has had many hits and they keep on coming.  Her kids are her life.  She lives in a town where her family gathers around them, but they are needy unto themselves.  She wants to stop living in the past and move on.

Graham knows he must learn to live in the now.  It is hard when you have a child who cannot seem to forigve you your foibles.  With this new attraction to an old friend, can he discover what it means to make a new family?

This story had some great characters.  My issue with this book was that they were all presernt and accounted for.  The whole town, all the famlies, and it felt more than full it felt like a bucket overflowing.  The story itself moved at a fast pace.  It was just a struggle to keep up where maybe some of the storylines would have been best in their own book.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

About Accidentally in Love:

I know I can make you blush.
It’s a weird claim to fame, but a perk of my dream job: being the voice of your favorite romance audio books. Laughter, hijinks, adventure. Passion. Sweet heaven, the passion. It’s everything I could ever want. Except…
The problem with this fabulous life?
It’s all just fantasy.

Picking between Chinese and Thai delivery doesn’t count as adventure.
The bestie who always makes me laugh is thousands of miles away.
As for the hunky hero? It’s not like he’s just going to come crashing into my apartment.

Until the night a bearded stranger does exactly that…

Do the job. Get the bad guy. Go home.
Most importantly, don’t get involved.
Those are the rules. The agency’s and mine. And they work. Even better, they give me the perfect excuse to keep my distance.
The perfect escape from getting burned again. Except…

Why can’t I stop watching her?
I shouldn’t care more about what she’s doing than my target.
I shouldn’t let her distract me from the job.
And I sure as hell shouldn’t fantasize about a woman I’ll never meet.

That is, until the night I surprise us both by kicking down her apartment door. Rules or no rules, it's true that...

After all, 425 Madison Avenue is the perfect place to fall in love.

*Each story is completely standalone.

“Number one rule of tailing someone: don’t breathe so loud they can hear you five flights away.”
“Hey!” I say, thwacking his chest. “Don’t be a jerk. Besides, I don’t think you’re in the position to give spy tips right now.”
One bold eyebrow lifts in question.
Pushing out of his grasp, I whip the hat off my head, breathing in relief as cool air hits my skull. “Isn’t the number one rule of spying not to pick up a tail in the first place?”
The first eyebrow drops, followed by the other. Green eyes turn sharp, primitive, before brightening. A roar of laughter erupts from his chest. We stand there for who knows how long, me huffing and puffing, and Gavin laughing like I’ve just delivered the funniest one-liner he’s ever heard. When he stops, his chest is heaving as hard as mine. One last chuckle escapes when he clocks my annoyed expression.
“Oh, come on. You should be proud. It’s been forever since I laughed that hard. That alone should make up for giving yourself away. Besides, it was a good effort. For a first timer.”
“Ugh,” is the only answer that seems fitting. “When did you realize I was there?”
“Hmm,” he says, stroking his beard, his lips still twisted in a smirk. “Down in the alley. When you scraped that thing against the wall.” He points at the metal tip on the large umbrella.
“You heard that?”
“Hmm,” he repeats, head bobbing. “That and a lot more.” Gavin sweeps his eyes down my body, lingering on my boots before pivoting and heading down the hall.
“Wait, what else?” Keeping up is impossible, what with my thigh muscles screaming and pain scorching my foot. He slows his pace without glancing back, his strides shortening until I catch up.
Another step and another wince, and Gavin mutters something under his breath before lifting me off my feet. My own smirk turns to a shriek when he throws me over his shoulder and swats my butt before continuing down the hall.
“That was completely unnecessary.” My complaint lacks edge, which I blame on the view of his very fine ass.
“Quite the opposite, Ms. Winters. Consider it punishment for ignoring my warnings about staying away.”

About Katy Ames:

Katy Ames has spent most of her life on the East Coast and hopes to spend more of it in the UK, primarily so she can indulge in her serious plaid obsession. There isn’t a teenage drama or a period British TV show she hasn’t binge-watched at least twice. And she can be persuaded to do almost anything with the promise of bourbon, chocolate, or a nap (not necessarily in that order).

Katy is mom to a small human who has an obscene amount of energy and a blissful ability to ignore swear words, and wife to a man whose reading habits are far too serious. Katy and her family reside in Washington, D.C., a city she where never intended to live and loves so much she’d be happy to talk about it for hours. Just ask.

Great Story and Characters
Falling For Her Fiance (Accidentally in Love #1) - Cindi Madsen

Dani had about thirty emails in her work inbox about the upcoming retreat. Of course people were excited they got to take their significant others and get in good with the boss. While the company would never call the retreat couples exclusive but the one they had a couple of years ago proved that being part of a duo meant more time with the boss and his wife. Wayne Bridges always bragged about how Bridges Marketing, Inc. was family friendly business.  Medical bills for her grandmother were expensive. Mama was living in Florida and took over Dani’s grandmothers physical care as well as working long hours. DAni was helping as much as she could. When even her scholarships didn’t pay for college family had all chipped in but her grandmother Morales ad put in the most. Wes called and told Dani to tell him he didn’t have to go but they both knew he would even though his sister was having Wes’s ex fiance as a bridesmaid. Wes agreed to go to the retreat with Dani as her fiance if she went to his sisters wedding as his fiance. Wes was Dani’s best friend since college. It had been a long time since they seen each other. Of all the stunts they had pulled this one would take the cake. Dani was Wes’s favorite person to hang out with . Being with Dani was effortless. They liked the same jokes- she just him in a way no one else did. When something good or bad happened Dani was the first person Wes wanted to call, and it had been like that pretty much since they he’d met her. Dani had left North Carolina to be with Steve- her boyfriend and now they weren’t together, He had hurt Dani . Wes had felt the urge to punch Steve from day one, but he’d tried to get along with Steve for Dani’s sake. All of a sudden Dani seemed to be noticing Wes’s body and she always knew he was good looking. Dani decided whens he got back home it was time to put herself out there again and find someone to date. She had been alone to long. Wes borrowed an engagement ring from his friend Paul who’s girlfriend had left him before he could propose. Paul acted a little interested in Dani. Wes had never really liked any man looking at Dani in that way.

I loved this story. It was a fun, easy, read, with just enough angst in it. I loved Dani and Wes together and how they interacted together. Not sure why their kiss in college was so bad yet they had such hot chemistry maybe had something to do with Wes ‘s experience as well as they alcohol. I loved how close Wes was to his family and how Dani was determined to help her mom and grandmother. I loved the pace and plot of this story. I loved the ins and outs of this book as well as the characters and I highly recommend iit. But there were a lot of errors that should be corrected.

RELEASE BLITZ, REVIEW & #GIVEAWAY - Accidentally on Purpose by J.M. Snyder
Accidentally on Purpose - J.M. Snyder

Accidentally on Purpose is the story of a fifty-something man, who has a teenage crush on a forty-something man. Alan spends all his time thinking of Jim, and trying to meet him whenever he can. Of course, Jim doesn't know Alan is meeting him, so doesn't turn up for half of the time. Alan's fourteen-year-old nephew, Brooks, gets involved, and that is when all the mischief and mayhem happens.

This was an amusing book, as the two grown men tried to figure out if they liked each other, and where to go next. It does take a serious turn as it nears the end, when Brooks goes missing. An entertaining read, this had no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading, and I enjoyed every word of this page-turner.

If you are looking for a light-hearted romance featuring an 'older' generation, then I can definitely recommend this one.
