Tasty
Ross - Lynn Raye Harris

This is book #3, in the 7 Brides For 7 Blackthornes series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyement, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ross is thrown back into the company business after an accident that almost ended in tragedy.  He is not happy to be there, until he meets his mentor.  She is fiery, sexy, and everything he never knew he needed.

Holly wants nothing to do with a playboy who couldn't remember he already met her!  It's a crime that he is even there in the first place.  Too much has already happened to her family, and she wants to make the most of her position, so she will teach the unteachable.

This story was a pleasant surprise and not at all what I thought I was going to get.  This series is already turning out to be great.  I love these characters with the heat that sizzles between them, as well as the banter that just makes me laugh out loud.  Overall a good pace and a terrific read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Release Blitz - Devlin

Winning her heart may be biggest prize of all...
Devlin by Barbara Freethy is available now!

Amazon Universal — mybook.to/Devlin
Google Play — http://bit.ly/2WKgDB3

As the second Blackthorne son, Devlin usually likes to stay out of the family drama, but with his family suddenly falling apart, he has one way to bring them back together. He wants to win the Southern Maine Sailing Invitational, like his father and uncle before him. He has built the fastest boat, he has planned for every contingency, except one…a beautiful blonde determined to beat him and avenge a family betrayal.

Hannah Reid is tired of watching the Blackthornes win races on boats built by her dad, especially after the family patriarch fired her father. She has only one way to get revenge, win the race. Unfortunately, Devlin Blackthorne is standing in her way. She wants to hate him, but Devlin’s love of the sea and brave, adventurous spirit mirrors her own, and she begins to realize that this sexy, charming man is hurting, too.

As they race to the finish, battling not only betrayal, but also strong winds and unexpected storms, Hannah and Devlin wonder if winning each other wouldn’t be the greatest win of all…

Devlin (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes Book 1)Devlin by Barbara Freethy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Devlin has known Hannah since they were children. When she comes to him about her father, he tells her the truth. Until that moment he had not considered her as an attractive woman, and now he can't unthink it.

Hannah is madder than ever about what has happened to her Dad. She figures if she gets Devlin involved there may be a solution. Unfortunately, there is more to the story. On top of that, is her attraction she cannot deny for Devlin.

This story is more of a slow burn. There is a lot of action, and the pace is rather steady. These characters already know each other well but it is a lot of fun to see that grow into more. I cannot wait to see where this series will go.

Great Story and Characters
Blackthorne's Bride - Joan Johnston

Two years have passed since Josie Wentworth was bought from the Sioux for a gold watch and whisked back to England by Marcus Wharton, the Duke of Blackthorne. When Marcus breaks his promise to return Josie to America, she ends up as a maid in the home of his charming but neglected nephews. Once Josie’s long-lost family finds her, however, the suddenly wealthy heiress sets out to save the two boys from their indifferent uncle—and teach the duke a lesson in honor.

I’ve read this author before so I knew that I liked her writing and was glad to see she didn’t disappoint. This was a pretty good story. I really enjoyed following Josie through her tale. I haven’t really read any books with this premise in a long time. It was a good change of pace. I highly recommend for anyone who likes this genre.

Good read, nice ending to a series.
Blackthorne's Bride - Joan Johnston

The last in the series, this story brought everything to a close. I enjoyed Marcus as we saw his kind-heartedness as he rescued Jose, his devotion to his late wife, even his self-absorption as he did what he could to restore his family home. Josie is a strong woman, surviving everything she went through and willing to accept the truth as it comes to light. There are glimpses of characters from the previous books, and I had tears in my eyes as this story came to an end.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
