Axel:

Playing for the Seattle Sockeyes is a dream come true. Yet in less than twenty-four hours, my life is a hot mess, and my dream has turned into a nightmare. It all starts when I have a one-night stand with my teammate's estranged wife, only I'm not aware she's married, let alone his wife. Now she's stalking me, my teammate hates me, and I'm madly attracted to his sister. Not a situation I'd wish on anyone, especially me.

Blocked (Scoring #2)Blocked by Jami Davenport
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #2 in the Scoring series. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. For reader enjoyment, or to avoid spoilers, i recommend reading this series in order.

Axel gets called up to the Sockeyes, Nothing could prepare him for what happend next. The only good thing that goes along with it, is how Geneva. Too bad she's off limits.

Geneva is wildly attracted to Axel from the first moment their eyes met. She can not act on this as it would hurt her brother. The same brother who is currently her lifeline.

This title starts off with fireworks. More than meets the eye, these characters have a hold on one another and cannot express their feelings. The story is fast paced and has a lot of tension between the MC's. Get ready for a wild ride.

Once upon a time, Melanie Layton and Tennyson O’Rourke were inseparable—but their friends-4ever promises were shattered when an explosive secret was revealed at Mel’s wedding, a secret that destroyed her family. Release Blitz - Bad Boyfriend

The Billionaire's Club Series is back!
Bad Boyfriend by Elise Faber is available now

Kelsey Scott has never wanted anything more serious than a hookup. Work triumphs all, men are simply trainable orgasm machines, and her friends and family are everything.

But with her brother's wedding rapidly approaching and matchmaking rapidly ensuing from all angles, she decides she needs a buffer from all the “perfect Mr. Rights,” the white tulle and frumpy bridesmaid dresses, and—ick—the heart-warming vows.

What she doesn't need is Tanner.

Her ex.

The only man who ever managed to weasel his way into her heart.

And by typical male progression, the only man to break it.

She’s done with the gorgeous, chocolate-eyed man who chased her down, got her to open up, and then promptly tossed her aside. She’s done with letting anyone past the barbed wire protecting her heart. Because if Kelsey has learned anything, it’s that she loves fiercely . . . and stupidly.

So no. No men, no matter how gorgeous. Definitely no emotional connections with those of the XY variety. And certainly no boyfriends. Not now. Not again. Not ever.

But when she and Tanner get paired up as a bridesmaid and groomsman at her brother's wedding, Kelsey finds it hard to remember all her steadfast rules.

Especially when it turns out that Tanner wants to get past all her defenses all over again.

Bad Boyfriend (Billionaire's Club, #7)Bad Boyfriend by Elise Faber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #7, in the Billionaire's Club. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For this series to be understood, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading these stories in order.

Kelsey is not ,made for relationships. Going to a family member's wedding, she wants a buffer. What she does not need it her ex, Tanner. She does not need to remember and relive the sparks that they have together.

Tanner is not surprised to find himself paired up with his ex-girlfriend, Kelsey. With it being a wedding for her brother, and her also being a bridesmaid, it seemed inevitable. The attraction is real, however.

Just like all the books in this series, this story is hot! This a fun family to revisit. With the upcoming wedding, we get to see all of our favorite characters. I liked the banter, the heat, and the family. A totally absorbing read, so hard to put down.

Easton:

Hockey isn't forever.

The money, excitement, and glory of being a professional hockey player meant more to me than a family, a home, and a forever. Another man has my forever, and I have hockey. I thought making the big bucks and playing against the best in the world would feel better than this. Instead, I'm empty and hollow, like a big piece of my heart was hacked off. There's something missing. Something big. Something I can never get back.

Caroline:

I loved him, but he wasn't the love of my life.

My husband died too young, too suddenly, too tragically. I was unprepared with no education, no job skills, and no future plans. When a DNA test reveals my twins' true parentage, I have no choice but to do the right thing. I turn to the one man who'd turned his back on me all those years ago.

I'd been shutout from his life, and I'd shut him out from mine. Can two strangers make a family? Do we have what it takes to forgive and move on?

Shutout: A Seattle Sockeyes Novel (The Scoring Series Book 1)Shutout: A Seattle Sockeyes Novel by Jami Davenport
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Easton knows he is missing something. He can feel his life is off. He should be elated to be part of a great NHL team, and instead he is wondering what if. Then he gets the bombshell of his life.

Caroline is scared out of her mind to see Easton again. She has to give up a part of herself and it already hurts. The memories still haunt her when she thinks of them. Can they learn to put the past behind them for the greater good?

This book is one of the reasons why I keep reading all that this author has to offer. Such deep and emotion filled characters that are a joy to read. With a rich and interesting storyline this is a good read.

Best friends to lovers is a risky game...

Pro hockey player Aaron Ferrar has shit luck with women. With one divorce, one psycho, and far too many one-night stands under his belt, he can’t seem to break his bad dating habits. He knows he’s not good enough for his sweet, sexy best friend, so he would never go there, but it’s getting harder and harder to resist her. Veterinary assistant Sara Chandler has floundered since graduating from college. She left both academia and hockey behind, and now she’s a nanny for her best friend while working part-time at a local veterinary clinic until she gets into veterinarian school. She’s always been hot for her hockey-playing best friend, but she’s not in his league and she’s leaving Anchorage soon anyway.

When disaster strikes, Aaron doesn’t hesitate to jump in, but nothing is ever going to be the same for them. He doesn’t know how to help her and neither of them ever do things the easy way.

Saving Sara (Alaska Blizzard Book 5)Saving Sara by Kat Mizera
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #5, in the Alaska Blizzard series. This book can be a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and fully understand the characters and series, I recommend reading this series in order.

Aaron knows he messed up. He has wanted Sara for so long that when they finally get a chance to go crazy he takes it. Then he has to fix his friendship with his best friend. Seems like everytime he tries he just makes it worse.

Sara was the reason they hooked up. She knows it was a mistake, but her feelings are real and are hard to ignore. Looking into her future and trying to figure out what to do, she has no idea if she can fit Aaron into it.

This was such a crazy hot good book I never wanted to put it down! I loved the characters, and yes we see some of our faves. I loved the passion, the honesty, and this would truly make a great movie. This author knows how to give us highs and lows and its what we have come to expect.

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she's called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She's never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she'd probably choose the west coast.

A typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max), Kat can usually be found scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) - traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible.

Kat's been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article--a review of a rock concert--for $10 in 1985. Since then she's been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her Las Vegas Sidewinders series, Kat loves hockey and occasionally writes articles about her favorite team, the Florida Panthers. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There's something enticing about hockey players and romance...
