Today we have the release day blitz of DRIVING ME WILD by Mia Carter! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!

Title: Driving Me Wild

Author: Mia Carter

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About Driving Me Wild:

I never in a million years thought that finding a lost pair of keys would lead to adventure.

All my life, I’ve been perfectly average. Compared to the rest of my high-achieving, type-A family, it feels impossible to stand out. While I’d love to make my big artistic dreams happen, I’m kind of stuck, thanks to a bunch of lame things like “affordable rent” and “keeping the internet on.” Dreaming doesn’t pay the bills. Freelance design work and part-time rideshare driving does. And it’s nice, for the most part. Finding a passenger’s thumb drive usually means reporting, returning, yay-hurrah-good-job-me. Except this time.

This time, I put the thumb drive in my computer. Hey, I’m just trying to be helpful! Suddenly a chat window pops up and the owner of the drive is bribing me to fly halfway across the world. Today. Turns out he's the super hot fare I haven't been able to stop thinking about...who just so happens to be Logan Weiss—the crazy-hot 29-year-old billionaire known as "the most eligible bachelor in tech”. What the hell am I even doing?

Exclusive Excerpt:

My coffee is finally cool enough to drink, and so I pick it up with the little folded paper handles and take a sip.

“Oh, I forgot to ask, did you want cream or sugar?”

I shake my head, swallowing the bitter brew and setting my cup down carefully on the oilcloth. “No, I really do like it black. But thank you.”

Logan gives me a curious, almost amused look.

“What?” I smile. “Don’t tell me you’re one of those people who likes those sugar bomb blended drinks that barely pass for coffee?”

“They’re good,” he mutters. “And I don’t have them that often.”

I laugh out loud. “Unbelievable. You realize this knowledge is far more lucrative than any corporate secrets, right? Just think of what they’d do if your whole ‘Darth CEO’ vibe was tarnished by the presence of an extra-pump white-chocolate mocha.”

Logan looks up and glares at me, playful, from across the table. “‘Darth CEO?’”

“You know, your whole...” I gesture vaguely at him.

“Intense thing. You’re intimidating.”

His smile falters a little. “You think I’m intimidating?”

“Well I don’t, obviously,” I say, hastily correcting my earlier flippant comment. “I think you’re... People see you one way is all I’m saying. It happens to all of us.”

“So how do people see you, then?” he asks.

I laugh, but it’s a little nervous now. “Don’t do that.”

“Do what?”

“I already know how people see me,” I say. “I don’t need to go over that. I’m very much aware.”

When I look up from my meal, Logan is watching me, curious. “They think you’re talented. Creative. Vibrant?”

“Average,” I say. “Not quite good enough. If you saw my sisters, you’d understand.”

“I’m not here with your sisters,” Logan says.

“Neither of them found your keys.” I smile at him, trying to deflect his analysis of me without making it seem like that’s what I’m doing.

“I don’t want to be here with your sisters,” he amends. “Although I’m sure they’re perfectly lovely people.”

I don’t know what to say to this. So, instead, I pick up my coffee again, blow on it to keep my mouth from trembling. It hurts too much to have someone pretend to want you.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Logan meets this amazingly charming young lady on the way to the airport. How did he find her? She is his driver for this trip. In a hurry, he rushes off - leaving something behind. If he is to get his project off the ground, he had better talk that charming driver into making a spontaneous trip to where he is.

Chloe drives lots of people. She tries to make money to survive while she is working on getting her art to pay her rent. Then the trip drops in her lap. This trip is a chance of a lifetime, returning keys a billionaire asks for. He needs help. Is it crazy?

I found this book very entertaining. I loved the banter. The heat grew in intensity and was weaved nicely throughout the story. The pace was steady. I really found this one hard to put down.

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster
Driving Whiskey Wild - Melissa Foster

Oh. My! I love every book I have read by Melissa, but I have to admit her Whiskey series is the one for me. After Reading Tru Blue and Truly Madly Whiskey, I could not wait to get my hands on Bullet Whiskey’s story and boy did Melissa not disappoint me one bit.

You would think a corny line like  ‘Come take a ride the Bullet train’ would be totally laughable (and it is), but for Bullet that straight up is his line to Finlay and you know what, as corny as it may be, if he said to me it would totally work!

Bullet is a big hulk of a guy, but boy are looks deceiving as Finlay soon finds out. She has moved back after losing her boyfriend and father to start a fresh and be near her sister Penny. Tasked with the job of helping redesign the Whiskeys bar she ultimately has to work with Bullet. The two of them couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, yet as with Melissa’s books she is the master of opposite attraction. Bullet and his whole family are bikers who’s father founded the Dark Knights MC, but these bikers are different than the usual term “biker” conjures up. Bullet has the biggest heart and will do anything for anyone and protect his family and loved ones at all costs.

The attraction was instant for both, and with Bullet suffering from PTSD Bullet he not without his troubles, and Finlay has been trough her own fair share of trauma, but these two coming together helps both on them heal.

Another amazing book from Melissa and now  I cant wait for Bones story!

Driving Whiskey Wild - Melissa Foster

My Thoughts…

The Whiskey Family is tough, tattooed, and run a biker club.   I love everything about them.     Along with all of that they are true to themselves, have strong family values, and work hard for what they want.    Driving Whiskey Wild is Bullet’s story.     He is fighting so many demons.   PTSD from what he saw and experienced in war is the cause of many of his issues.   Bullet just needs the right woman to help him beat those demons.

I like that both Bullet and Finlay have experienced life.   They have had rough times and still managed to come out on the otherside.   They are not privileged, they have had to work to earn their way in the world.    They both have reasons for not feeling like they could be loved again.    Together Bullet and Finlay just make sense.   They can understand each other, support each other, and love each other because they are alike in so many ways.

If you are familiar with Melissa Foster and are looking for a sweet, loving, tender book Driving Whiskey Wild is not it.   This is a hardcore, in your face, tough book.   There are many sweet, loving, and tender moments but there is also a lot of swearing and hard conversations being had.

Book Review - Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster
Driving Whiskey Wild - Melissa Foster

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster is" an immense story of healing through love and of the magic that love can bring between two people," reviews Beck Valley Book Tours

There is just something about The Whiskeys and those around them, the pure love they have for each other, the bond and loyalty between them, the selfless actions they are willing to take for one another when needed makes for such a great read. You can feel the closeness, the secure calming feeling of knowing you are a part of their group. This and the fact that Melissa Foster makes it impossible not to fall in love with Bullet and Finlay will have you thoroughly enjoying the whole story.

Within a few pages I was already smiling at humour between Bullet and Finlay, not willing to let each other get the better of each other, like dogs with a toy, their banter is hilarious. It's definitely a case of opposites attract and the want between them is obviously undeniable, their strong connection poured from the pages. It was also impossible not feel the protective force for Finlay from Bullet from those first chapters.

As the story unfolds they end up being a source of strength for each other, both opening up and helping each other from their hurtful past, easing one anothers pain, growing stronger because of the love they share. Reading how this conflicted hunk of a man freely feeling emotions and love for the first time is years is quite emotional. But will their love for each other be enough to win the battle of emotions they face?

I ended up doing my usual trick when I'm absolutely loving a book of thinking up excuses to keep myself busy so I could hold back from reading the last few chapters so it didn't have to come to an end, I could have happily carried on reading about Bullet, Finlay and the Whiskey family and friends. I'm so looking forward to reading Dixie's story, just imagine how many hoops those Whiskey brothers will have him skipping through just to pass the their test for approval!

They say never judge a book by it's cover, well that's totally not the case for The Whiskeys, just look at that strong muscular body of the deep dark lovable hunk of a man, Bullet, he not only has you drooling at the cover but will have your heart skipping a beat in the story too.

An immense story of healing through love and of the magic that love can bring between two people.
