The Lorax - Dr. Seuss

This book talks about the importance of being eco friendly. It teaches a valuable lesson about why we should take care of the environment. I would use this book to explain the importance of taking care of our environment. My intended audience would be 3rd grade.

Warren the 13th and The All-Seeing Eye
Warren the 13th and The All-Seeing Eye: A Novel - Will Staehle,Tania del Rio

Meet Warren the 13th, a cursed 12-year-old Victorian bellhop who’s terribly unlucky . . . yet perpetually optimistic, hard-working, and curious. Orphan Warren’s pride and joy is his family’s hotel, but he’s been miserable ever since his evil Aunt Anaconda took over the management. Anaconda believes a mysterious treasure known as the All-Seeing Eye is hidden somewhere on the grounds, and she’ll do anything to find it. If Warren wants to preserve his family’s legacy, he’ll need to find the treasure first—if the hotel’s many strange and wacky guests don’t beat him to it! This middle-grade adventure features gorgeous two-color illustrations on every page and a lavish two-column Victorian design that will pull young readers into a spooky and delightful mystery.

Writtenby: Tania del Rio  Illustratedby: Will Staehle

“I received this book from netGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.”

My first thought after I finished this book is: I love IT!

If my little sister or little cousins knew English I would’ve obliged them to read this book right this second!!

It was fun and exciting to follow young Warren on his treasure hunt, it wasn’t hard to guess what would happen next, but sometimes it completely threw me off the track and left me wondering, “How is the author going to solve this mess?”

This story was refreshing, but most importantly I liked the morals in this book and how warren made the right decisions even if they were not to his likings.
I really recommend this book to younger readers and older as well, go pick it up!.

The immortal rules (a blood of eden novel) by Julie Kagawa
The Immortal Rules - Julie Kagawa

5+ STARS !!

This is by far the most exciting story that I’ve had the pleasure to read by Julie Kagawa. I gave this one a deserving FIVE stars and plus because it had it all a kickass strong realistic female character a great world building a flawless dazzling story, My God by the last hundred pages I was gripping the book fiercely and sitting on the edge of my seat for about 20 minutes straight. One word people EPIC!

Allison is one heck of a badass character I Loved her, Kagawa made her to be rational full of commonsense. She acted like every teenage at her age yet not forgetting about her dark side, no sugarcoating the truth. She made her to be a Vampire a true Predator mixed with a tiny human touch. And that was refreshing. Paranormal nowadays are sooo cheesy and the character are so love struck that I became so wary around this genre. However with this one I was MIND BLOWN.

I liked how the blurb did not reveal much, mysterious as it was I was left wondering what purpose Allison had next, because she can’t keep following human around forever. And what’s her role in all of this craziness. Even after the book ended, I had some hypothesis but I’m still pretty much in the dark. Gaah I can’t think….
As for the male characters, one was pretty dark and the other was cheerful and full of life. Bottom line, love them both!
I need the next book like NOW , I should’ve bought the whole series while I was in Europe. These books aren’t available in Africa *frustrated scream*

Ashes by Mario Candelaria
Ashes: A Firefighter's Tale - Mario Candelaria,Karl Slominski,Karl Slominski

“I received this eARC from netGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.”

May I just take a minute and express my love for the cover by just admiring it? Yes that way THANK YOU!

This comic/graphic novel was really realistic and heart touching because it dealt with real life issues and that was amazing. I deeply enjoyed it for what’s it represented. Great thanks to this wonderful author and illustrator for their efforts.
I liked the family and friend’s support plus the good and bad relationships all made the comic stand out.
however the main character was kind of an A** hole, I did not appreciate his character that much, he should know one thing if you choose a job like that you do not do it for FAME, you do because you want to help people and not be famous because that’s just wrong. minus one star for that

Overall, It’s Very realistic and relatable.
