The Harem - Thomas Sweeney

I had to make a video of finding my book on a bookshelf at the local bookstore, Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, CA.  I went into the store to find it on the shelf with other local authors, but found this instead...

Thank you Vroman's for your support and being the first bookstore to stock The Harem on your bookshelves!   :)

Look what I spy with my little eye . . .
The Harem on a shelf with Fifty Shades, Captivated by You, In His Keeping, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty...

The Harem - Thomas Sweeney

You can buy The Harem on Amazon.com, Barnesandnobles.com, SteamyRomanceBooks.com, Smashwords.com . . . but NOW . . . you can buy The Harem directly on a bookshelf!

Vroman’s Bookstore of Pasadena, California, is the first brick and mortar bookstore to offer The Harem directly to its customers. You can buy a paperback copy off the shelf. They’ve also added The Harem paperback and ebook editions on their website as well.

We are very grateful to Vroman’s for adding The Harem to their romance collection! Though Thomas Sweeney is a local, California author, Vroman’s immediately placed The Harem on an end of the isle shelf with world-renowned authors such as E. L. James, Sylvia Day, Maya Banks, Anne Rice, Sylvain Reynard and L. Marie Adeline.

Thanks so much Vroman’s for this wonderful opportunity! We were very excited when we found The Harem on the shelf, and even better, that one of the copies was sold before the end of the day, today, February, 18, 2015.

Vroman’s has been established in Pasadena California since 1895. Be sure to keep books alive, and more importantly, keep local bookstores alive!

Support local bookstores and purchase directly from Vroman's if you don't live in Pasadena, CA: http://www.vromansbookstore.com/book/9780986227202

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

Kindest Regards,

Thomas (author)

S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared (Secret #2) by L. Marie Adeline
S.E.C.R.E.T. 2 - L. Marie Adeline

I think this will be the last one in this series for me. I just can't get into the storyline. This one begins with the mysterious Dauphine experiencing a Secret fantasy. Then it jumps back in time to the beginning to show how she got into Secret. It was very disjointed and hard to follow the time line. It seemed much more like individual little episodes than a cohesive story.

Dauphine's story was unique though. Her journey through Secret was quite different from Cassie's and ended much differently as well. We have a return "bad guy" and Cassie once again loses her happy ending at the last second. Dauphine has quite the fairy tale happy ending and it was just far to easy to be true and it wasn't satisfying at all.

It was very interesting to see more of the inner workings of this secret club. I got to see a training session with a new guy as well as see how the organization is financed. It's too bad that was the most interesting part - I had really hoped for more out of this one.

*This book was received in exchange for an honest review*

S.E.C.R.E.T. (Secret #1) by L. Marie Adeline
S.E.C.R.E.T. - L. Marie Adeline

I was really hoping for a little more from this one. The overall concept of the story was great. Cassie has fallen into a horrible rut. After her alcoholic husband died, she kind of sank into herself and hasn't come up for air (or sex). Five years later and she's still stuck. She stumbles upon an organization that helps women in her sort of position open themselves back up again. The regain their confidence, their passion, and awaken their sexual desires. Cassie has doubts at several stages along the way - who wouldn't - but chugs along through the 10 step program. This reminded me a bit of what AA is describes as.

The downfall is that it didn't seem like enough really happened. A whole year goes by in the story, but I felt like her SECRET encounters were the only thing she had in her life - and the whole point of the group is for the opposite to happen. The encounters were fun and quite exciting - and they did teach her valuable lessons about opening herself up to new possibilities. I just wish more "real" life had happened in between them for her to explore as well.

I will admit that I was hoping for just a smidge of romance to pop out of the story somewhere - even if it wasn't a prevalent topic. But I was sorely disappointed. There really isn't a happy ending for Cassie and her personal life. She does complete the program, but I'm not sure how much better her life really is now. There is a sequel and since it's already on my shelf I'll give it a go to see if the series turns into anything better.

S.E.C.R.E.T Revealed by L. Marie Adeline
SECRET Revealed: A SECRET Novel (Secret Trilogy) - L. Marie Adeline

Description

The only thing that Cassie Robichaud has ever really wanted is Will Foret, the love of her life. But when Will discovered Cassie’s role in S.E.C.R.E.T, an underground group devoted to helping women experience their deepest sexual fantasies, his reaction broke Cassie’s heart.

Now, Cassie has dried her tears and devoted herself to helping the latest S.E.C.R.E.T recruit, Solange Faraday – a beautiful, brilliant local news anchor and divorced mom, who has a great career but a wilting love life.

As both women blossom, their chance at finding true love is revealed to be closer than they ever imagined…

An irresistible, erotically charged and unforgettable romance series, perfect for fans of E. L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and Sylvia Day’s Bared to You.

S. Submission E. Erotic C. Cheesy R. Readable E. Expected T. Troubled Book 3 The hottest scenes with the book hands down go to Solange Faraday, I knew from the get go she was not at all over her ex-husband, Julius. What I didn't like was the fact that I felt like I was being pulled in too many different i directions. I mean the story follows Cassie, Will, Claire, Solange, Julius, & Jesse...I've never felt close to Cassie but in this book I felt myself totally over her. She is supposed to come off strong and sexy but instead she kind of comes of like Sookie Steakhouse just so damn annoying. I hated Will from the beginning but by the end I was pissed there wasn't more about him. I do not think Jesse is man enough....I know it's odd but he was so damn MOODY seriously get of your damn period! This is the last of the Secret novels and I felt that it was just simply Meh. I didn't grip on to the pages. Half of the time I felt like and I skimming through it. However I will say it was interesting watching the drama that revolved around everyone. And I also liked just the premise of this whole series; watch was basically about sexual freedom. I'm not sure if I would ever personally do it but then again that's why I read, in order to live through them.
