Knowing all to be a vibration, while paying the deepest respect to sounds of each and every sacred letter, we find 22 consonants, in use 4,000 years ago. We also know that the ancient writing systems, I.e. Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu Sindhi together with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean were right-to-left scripts.

Discover New Authors in the New Year

This is the last big multi-author giveaway that I'll participate in for a while, perhaps the only one this year, so dig in.

I recommend Virginia King’s Laying Ghosts, the prequel to her Selkie Moon Series. Fans of my Mae Martin books will probably like this series, mystical mysteries with strong settings and psychological depth.

Theresa Crater’s Under the Stone Paw has elements of mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. I don’t normally read the latter two genres, but I was so caught up in her portrayal of Egypt and its ancient sites, I broke my normal genre reading boundaries.

British author Jordaina Sydney Robinson has been my critique partner for years. I’m not being biased when I say she’s one of the funniest and most original writers in the mystery genre. Beyond Dead is more fun than you ever imagined the afterlife could be.

You can download these and many others, including my book Shaman's Blues, the first and only time it ever will be free. Happy reading in the new year.

Sky Shamans of Mongolia: Meetings with Remarkable Healers
Sky Shamans of Mongolia: Meetings with R... Sky Shamans of Mongolia: Meetings with Remarkable Healers - Kevin Turner I got this book as a gift, and other than the title I didn't know much about it. I thought it would be an objective, more anthropological view on modern Shamanism in Mongolia. The author clearly had a great time and whole-heartedly believes in shamans' abilities.

It was interesting to read about the various practices, especially from the point of view of a believer. It was also interesting to see how Turner traveled around the country. I wish the last chapter on Shamanism as Personal Evolution would have been at the beginning of the book. But the pictures throughout really helped me

In Graves Below (Magic New Mexico / Kindle Worlds) Carol Van Natta
Magic, New Mexico: In Graves Below (Kindle Worlds) - Carol Van Natta

Idrián Odair is a disabled veteran and the last dreamwalk warrior of his tribe and in order to protect his ancestral lands, he needs to find his partner before time runs out in this exciting paranormal romance.

Riya Sanobal hides her heritage and magical talent for doors in favor of her dance career but dreams of a sexy, Native American warrior is causing quite the distraction and readers can’t help but become enthralled by these strong compelling characters as they try to learn to trust each other before Denver becomes an all-you-can-eat buffet for a ravenous demon horde. There is lots of sizzling chemistry and romance but the relationship is not only under a bit of pressure, both Riya and Idrián have some emotional issues that stem from past relationships to overcome which the readers can certainly relate to and there is never a dull moment to be found as time becomes the enemy and demons target Riya for her abilities which sets a spectacular magical battle in motion. This plot is well written, fast paced and flows smoothly with suspense, excitement and romance that draws readers in and refuses to let go.

This is one fascinating world with some very interesting and unique creatures and elements that adds to the spice and appeal of the story and I found my visit to Magic, New Mexico to be quite an exhilarating experience, so I will definitely have to visit Magic again.
