Explains how the religious right and extreme conservatives have taken over the Republican party.  He begins in the 1960's and brings it up to 2007.  It is interesting as he shows the maneuverings behind the scenes of how these groups gain a hold on the GOP and how they only care about their agenda and not society as a whole.  They don't care the damage that is done as long as they get their way.  He is very open in his opinions of the party leaders and party nominees (losers and winners) during this time.  I found it eye-opening at times but I was not surprised by his opinions.  I just did not realize how bad it was.  I did laugh over some of his observations.  This is as timely today as it was when written.  I wish he were still alive so we could hear his opinion of what has happened since 2007 to now.

Twisted and Dasia's story was touching and heartfelt. I have to say Twisted's character surprised me as he was so much more than a hacker and not your typical computer nerd that is obsessed with his craft he is outgoing, outspoken and likes kinky sex and is obsessed with a girl almost half his age. The age difference had a bit of an ick factor for me but, Dasia's age is nothing compared to all this young girl as already endured and she is already wiser beyond her years as she had to grow up rather quickly to overcome all that she has already suffered just to survive.

Twisted has been drawn and obsessed with Dasia since she showed up at their gate broken and battered but, she is lost and broken and the last thing she needs is a man who needs dominance and obedience in and out of bed even if the age difference isn't really a factor.

Our heart broke for Dasia and time again as that girl was dealt nothing but, hard breaks her entire life but, Pia and Ryder aka Callous are there to pick up the pieces and for the first time in her life has made her feel safe and loved. We loved how Callous was Dasia as it was quite out of the norm for him but, one thing for sure she quickly wormed his way in that dark heart of his. We also loved how quickly she also wormed her way into the hearts of the other club members so much so they considered her one of their own and would give their lives to protect her.

Dasia story just broke our heart time and time again and its a miracle that life didn't completely break her.Dasia had some sort of bond with Twisted from the moment she meets the gorgeous biker and is obsessed with the man just as much as he is with her but, she felt no man would ever want her so this just adds to her torment.

Dasia and Twisted had some off the chart chemistry and perhaps his kink is just what she needs to feel cherished and safe.

Overall the story had enjoyable characters a suspenseful plot and one that broke one's heart. We really are enjoying this series as well as this story as it had us engrossed in the pages to the very end. The series and this current read also had so many loveable characters that you can't help but love each and everyone one of them and we just love that!

Let's start off by saying that we are really enjoying this series as we just love the characters that it has. Callous aka Ryder is no joke a cold heart-ed a killer who makes no bones about who he is and we loved that about him. The broken man was capable of being loving, caring, protective sweet, and kind, and even with his affliction of no touching that he battles with daily was making slow strides with his little problem even if he wasn't even realizing it.

Pia aka Little Lamb as Ryder/Callous calls her was the bomb we just loved her. We found her to be loving and caring and protective of her charges so much so she took her job seriously as a social worker above and beyond the job to see to the safety of them the best she could. We loved her with Callous/Ryder even though she wasn't sure what lead to him being the way he was and that she took a chance on him hoping that little by little she could figure him out and help him in only the way she could. All those little accidental touches were working there little miracle.

Talk about chemistry this couple had that in spades. We loved them together even though we first thought that Pia was crazy to put up with the man's bullsh** ways. I have to say that we loved them together as they were complete opposites but, perfect for one another. One thing we loved most about this couple's relationship is that Callous from the onset of meeting Pia he never hid who he really was.

Overall this was a touching story that tugged on one heartstring's of what Dasia and Ryder/Callous endured. I loved seeing a whole different side of Callous and Pia embrace her wild side that she kept locked up tight inside of her and how she took a chance on a bad boy. Together they were a force to be reckoned with!
