Strangers
Riven - Roan Parrish

Theo is a rockstar with all the fame that it comes with.  Meeting Caleb changes everything.  When he meets someone who he could finally see a future - will the exposure ruin all he has gained?

Caleb has been the guy on tour.  He does not need it again.  Writing music is satisfying on many levels.  Then he meets someone who opens up that closed door.  Is there a future for an old musician?

These two are meant to be.  I loved reading about them finding their way.  Characters so unique, that they have to fall apart to come together.  Really hoping there is more to this story and we will see this couple again.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Manic Pixie Dream Boy (The Underdogs #1) by K.A. Merikan Review
Manic Pixie Dream Boy (gay rockstar romance) (The Underdogs Book 1) - K.A. Merikan

Dusk. Leader of The Underdogs. Destined for greatness. Lives in the now.
Abe. AKA Lolly. Iridescent. Unicorn.

All Dusk wants out of life is for his band to become world famous. He also wants to have a lot of fun along the way. And to get his rocks off. When he wants something, he goes for it, consequences be damned.

So when he sees a gorgeous pink-haired guy who is the human equivalent of tattooed cotton candy, he can’t help but have a taste. But it’s when Lolly ends up on their tour bus that Dusk knows their meeting was destiny

Abe is the kind of guy who goes with the flow. He was hitchhiking anyway, so why not spend the week with a hot piece of rocker beefcake, getting smothered by his sexy long hair? And why not play the part of the supportive cutie while he’s at it? It’s not like he’d be sticking around for long anyway.

All plans hit a wall when photos of Abe and Dusk emerge online, suddenly pushing the band into the spotlight. To take advantage of the sudden popularity, the band offers Abe money for staying.

Which means money for being in a fake relationship with Dusk.

Which isn’t even fake.

Or is it?

Review

I love the idea of Lolly/Abe. I adore the happy themed tattoos et all. But the actual development of the character is uneven and too late in the book to work well.

Dusk's character has many of the same issues. They don't talk even after several moments of saying TALK. I don't think Dusk even asks Lolly's real name until near end of the book

Then, we get into a pretend relationship trope which is awkward and an even more awkward climax and break up.

Hmmmm. I will likely read Dawn's story because interested but I hope the emotionial depth of the writing gets better.

Entangled Under The Mistletoe - Spotlight Review

Crashed out

By Tessa Bailey

On sale for 99¢ for a limited time only!

About the book:

His inspiration. His torment. And his temptation…

Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She’s the fuel for every song he’s ever written—each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band on temporary hiatus, Sarge is determined to prove to Jasmine that this “kid” turned into every inch the man she’s always needed…

Men are slim pickings for a single factory girl in Hook, New Jersey…until tall, broad-shouldered hotness walks—or rather storms—into Jasmine’s life. Sarge’s return shouldn’t affect her this way. He’s her best friend’s much younger kid brother, and the kind of rough, gritty, sexiness Jasmine has no right to taste for herself. Even if he lets her.

But lust is a blinding, insatiable force. And when it crashes, it will take both Sarge and Jasmine down with it…

Crashed Out (Made in Jersey, #1)Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jasmine used to babysit Sarge. He grew up knowing he wanted a future with her. A fantasy that never had a chance of coming true.

Sarge has come back to his hometown all grown up. He realizes what he has missed out on. He regrets waiting so long to come back. Only he could not have made himself come sooner.

Jasmine sees the grownup version of Sarge as a threat to her health. He is so hot that he causes a heatwave whenever he is near. Can she resist the man he has become?

I found myself so anxious to get to the end of the story. This book has characters that just move you to feel so many things. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. What a hot and fun book!

great story, great characters
Merry Christmas Baby: Rockstar Secret Ba... Merry Christmas Baby: Rockstar Secret Baby Holiday Romance - Marie Cole

Carrie worked at the Historic Liberty Hotel. Carrie had a six year old son named Brent . The day after HS graduation Brent’s father Shawn told Carrie if she really loved him she would let him go explore his dream of making it big in the world of rock and roll. Carrie had let Shawn go even though she still loved him. Six weeks later Carrie found out she was pregnant and kept it to herself. Shawn had made it big his first record went platinum on their son Brent’s birthday. It had been six years and Shawn had never come back. Then Carrie found out the VIP guest at the hotel was actually Shawn but he wasn’t alone. Shawn had agreed to help Tansy as a favor to her publicist but Tansy was living up to her name Hansy Tansy and Shawn couldn’t take the groping anymore. He needed a break. Shawn had the same feeling that haunted him every time he went home and crossed the GA border - carrie Abbott- . Then Shawn recognized Carrie but she acted like he was just another guest. Carrie’s roommate was Connor and Carrie had Connor bring Brent to the hotel as she still had a lot to do for work. Tansy pointed out Carrie’s child maybe Shawns and when Shawn confronts Carrie she admits that Brent us his son.

This was a great novella. A great short second romance story and I loved it. I read it in one sitting. It was short but wasn’t missing anything. I only wish it had been longer. It made me smile at times and choke up at times. I loved the ending. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.
