Nor Iron Bars a Cage by Kaje Harper
Nor Iron Bars a Cage - Kaje Harper

I would love to know more about pretty much everyone in this book (other than Lyon and Xen). More about Tobin and the king. More about that annoying captain, who drove Lyon crazy in the second part of the story. There is So. Much! Loved it.

Sacrati by Kate Sherwood
Sacrati - Kate Sherwood

Book, I am very upset with you. Your meager 407 are the longest 407 pages I've ever read. Ever. Even "1001 Nights" wasn't that long when I read it last.

If it wasn't for the empty banter between the characters and the small pockets of cute nothingness or dull brooding or any other unnecessary details that can be easily done outside of the book (like little ficlets), the whole reading experience would have been much more pleasant.

Rest in peace now. I am glad I am finally free of you.

PS
It's not a bad story, just the way it's told that didn't agree with me.

Vespar (Order of the Black Knights #3) by Thianna Durston
Vespar (Order of the Black Knights Book 3) - Thianna Durston

Mayhem and confusion, this one. Plot holes.
No chemistry between the characters at all.

The Door Into Fire (The Tale of the Five #1) by Diane Duane
The Door Into Fire - Diane Duane

Sex. Drugs. And Rock... Color Purple. Very 70-ies.

What. A. Drag.

Never a straight (no pun) line in this book. I don't mind when a story gets from A to D via B, C and while at it detours through E and K. I do mind however, when the author goes through entire alphabet to connect A to B. Now imagine that alphabet being intense purple. It frigging haunts me in my sleep now.

One star.

And no, DD was not the one and only writing and publishing queer literature prior to 2001. No credit for that. Sorry, not sorry.

PS And what's with the cover? O.o

The Shadow Mark (Lords of Davenia, #2) by Mason Thomas
The Shadow Mark (Lords of Davenia Book 2) - Mason Thomas

Warning:
NO sex.
NO romantic relationship or indication thereof until the very end of the book.

Come to think of it, can't call it bromance either.

All of the above are perfect for me :p

***
Very good adventure/suspense.
My only disappointment, I never felt much for Kane. The character was pretty flat and never came to shine.
