Join me in the dark?
The Cipher - Kathe Koja
The Keep - F. Paul Wilson
Dinner With the Cannibal Sisters - Douglas Clegg
The Tooth Fairy - Graham Joyce
Headhunter - Michael Slade

I have created a TBR list of horror. It's varied--classic and new, men and women, novels and short stories. The only common denominator is that I haven't read these particular works yet--and I ain't getting any younger, so it is time to begin, Gentle Reader.

Gun Work (Hard Case Crime #49) - David J. Schow Pretty good book, flawed in many ways. Reminds me a bit of "The Excecutioner" but much better written.

Completely Doomed
Completely Doomed - Robert Bloch,Richard Matheson,David J. Schow A collection of short stories by various horror writers adapted as graphic novels. The quality of tales does vary from good to so-so, which is something that often happens in this kind of anthology. Some tales did have some nice twists at the end. Overall, an entertaining quick read in light horror.

Zombies: The Recent Dead - Max Brooks,Michael Marshall Smith,Francesca Lia Block,Gary A. Braunbeck,Joe R. Lansdale,Kelly Link,Tim Lebbon,David Wellington,David J. Schow,Tobias S. Buckell,Nik Houser,Andy Duncan,Brian Keene,Tim Waggoner,Kit Reed,Scott Edelman,Paula Guran,Steve Duffy, I downloaded "Selected Scenes from the End of the World - A Free Short Story from Zombies: The Recent Dead" from Audible.

The zombies talked. That is all.

No, that's not all. I realize that the short story presented was only one of many authors who contributed to this anthology, so I may decide to come back to it at a later time, but I'm not jumping on it.
