Axel:

Playing for the Seattle Sockeyes is a dream come true. Yet in less than twenty-four hours, my life is a hot mess, and my dream has turned into a nightmare. It all starts when I have a one-night stand with my teammate's estranged wife, only I'm not aware she's married, let alone his wife. Now she's stalking me, my teammate hates me, and I'm madly attracted to his sister. Not a situation I'd wish on anyone, especially me.

Blocked (Scoring #2)Blocked by Jami Davenport
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #2 in the Scoring series. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. For reader enjoyment, or to avoid spoilers, i recommend reading this series in order.

Axel gets called up to the Sockeyes, Nothing could prepare him for what happend next. The only good thing that goes along with it, is how Geneva. Too bad she's off limits.

Geneva is wildly attracted to Axel from the first moment their eyes met. She can not act on this as it would hurt her brother. The same brother who is currently her lifeline.

This title starts off with fireworks. More than meets the eye, these characters have a hold on one another and cannot express their feelings. The story is fast paced and has a lot of tension between the MC's. Get ready for a wild ride.

Easton:

Hockey isn't forever.

The money, excitement, and glory of being a professional hockey player meant more to me than a family, a home, and a forever. Another man has my forever, and I have hockey. I thought making the big bucks and playing against the best in the world would feel better than this. Instead, I'm empty and hollow, like a big piece of my heart was hacked off. There's something missing. Something big. Something I can never get back.

Caroline:

I loved him, but he wasn't the love of my life.

My husband died too young, too suddenly, too tragically. I was unprepared with no education, no job skills, and no future plans. When a DNA test reveals my twins' true parentage, I have no choice but to do the right thing. I turn to the one man who'd turned his back on me all those years ago.

I'd been shutout from his life, and I'd shut him out from mine. Can two strangers make a family? Do we have what it takes to forgive and move on?

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Easton knows he is missing something. He can feel his life is off. He should be elated to be part of a great NHL team, and instead he is wondering what if. Then he gets the bombshell of his life.

Caroline is scared out of her mind to see Easton again. She has to give up a part of herself and it already hurts. The memories still haunt her when she thinks of them. Can they learn to put the past behind them for the greater good?

This book is one of the reasons why I keep reading all that this author has to offer. Such deep and emotion filled characters that are a joy to read. With a rich and interesting storyline this is a good read.

I loved him, but he wasn’t the love of my life. Someone else was.

My husband died too young, too suddenly, too tragically. We’d been unprepared, and I was left with nothing. I had no education, no job skills, and no future plans. My controlling in-laws were breathing down my neck, ready to pounce at any moment and take the twins away from me.

I had no choice. I turned to the one man who’d turned his back on me, on us, all those years ago.

We’d been shutout from his life, and I’d shut him out from ours. Can two strangers make a family? Do we have what it takes to forgive and move on?
