REVIEW BY MERISSA - Shadow Love: Stalkers (Shadow Vampires #1) by Claudy Conn
Shadow Love: Stalkers - Claudy Conn
If you thought you had read everything to do with Dracula, then think again. Claudy Conn - Paranormal Romance Author has given the tale a new twist with her Shadow Love series, of which this is the first book. In this, you get a brief background with a few details to be going on with, and then you are in the action. Finding out who is who, wondering about others, disliking or not trusting yet even more.

This is a wonderful story that is well written, well paced and with characters that are fully dimensional and with depth. If you like Alpha Males then you have to choose between Chad and Damon... and even now I'm not sure which one I prefer!

There's not as much 'steam' in this book as in others of Claudy Conn's that I have read but that in no way detracts from the story.

Excellent start to the series.

Arc Review: It's Me Again, Baby (O'Connor Family #3) by Katie Reus
It's Me Again, Baby (O'Connor Family Series Book 3) - Katie Reus

*** 3.5 stars ***

Katie Reus is the queen of the second chances trope. She’s got that down to a science and this book only reinforced that thought for me.

Samantha and Maguire parted ways a while ago because of a misunderstanding but neither got over the other one. Now that they finally got a chance to talk things over they’re giving their relationship another chance.

The narrative of the story was fast-paced and so was the romance however it was still well told. Throw in the dynamics of one of my favorite fictional towns (not to mention some super hot sex scenes) and you have a nice, fun read. I didn’t like the ending much as I thought it was too rushed and expected but other than that it was an enjoyable read.

*** I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.***

The Missionaries!

So I lied to them, yes, lied to the godly people. They pulled my phone number from a donation a gave to their church about a year agor. THEY CALLED ME! I told them we all had strep. Not a complete lie, but my son was really the only one with it. I get home from work today to find a fucking case of Campbells chicken noodle soup by my door with a get well message. Ugh... they had to go and be sweet because of my lie. It is also a bit overboard. The way they handle their calling get to spread the word of God is really going to push people away! They had to bring my fave soup. The guilt!

I feel like I am going to hell!

The missionaries showed again. I was pulling up the road and saw them start to get out of their car. The whole family was with me. I hid from them in my neighbors driveway because it pulled all the way behind their house. The neighborhood guy laughed when I told him what I was doing there. Feel like I am going to hell, and I don't even think I believe there is such a place! Ugh... damn missionaries and their godliness!

Christmas at Steel Beach (The Night Stalkers #9) by M.L. Buchman
Christmas at Steel Beach (The Night Stalkers) - M. L. Buchman

NAME: Gail Miller
RANK: Chief Steward
MISSION: To win the Admiral Ney Culinary Award for Best Navy Mess.

NAME: Sly Stowell
RANK: Chief Petty Officer & hovercraft pilot.
MISSION: To honor the Navy he loves.

Gail Miller cares only about cooking the very best food for those who choose to serve. When assigned to the USS Peleliu, the Navy serves her far more than she bargained for. Sly Stowell’s home aboard the USS Peleliu comes under threat of a changing Navy. He must decide if he can change with it.

When the Night Stalkers take over the ship and international crises call, their commitment and their hearts are tested to the limit. Will they still be there when the time comes to spend Christmas at Steel Beach?

While Christmas at Steel Beach carries Buchman's signature traits as far as writing goes the plot didn't catch my interest as his books usually do and are really great at keeping.

Its short, its dramatic a little maddening but its good for those too busy to delve into a full novel.
