Reading progress update: I've read 178 out of 250 pages.
Avengers and Thunderbolts - Pierce Askegren

"Years before, a recorded copy of Wonder Man's encephalographic traces had formed the basis of the Vision's artificial intelligence, making them something like brothers. Later, after Simon had returned from his apparent death, he had felt a strong attraction to Wanda - who was, at that point, married to the Vision. Now, with Simon returned from a second deathlike experience and having taken the Vision's place at the Scarlet Witch's side, there were still ties between the two."

Okay, stuff I missed while scanning through Wikipedia pages. I had figured the tension between Simon and the Vision was due to them being the current boyfriend and the ex-husband, but instead it's that plus the two of them are actually sort of related. Oh boy.

Nope
Marvel Knights #1 - Chuck Dixon,Klaus Janson,Eduardo Barreto

I found this hard to get into or invested in.   Neither storyline nor art impressed me that much, and I was glad I had gotten it for free.

Nope
Thanos vs. Hulk #1 (of 4) - Jim Starlin,Jim Starlin

I've come to realize something: I don't like Jim Starlin's writing very much.   It's just not for me.

I got this free, not looking at who wrote it, and it was a mistake.  I figured I'd opened it up so I'd read it, but yeah, still a mistake.

Not the worst I've read, but I didn't enjoy it so two stars.

Really not into this
Rise of the Black Panther (2018) #1 (of 6) - Ta-Nehisi Coates,Evan Narcisse,Paul Renaud,Brian Stelfreeze

I picked this up for free, and tried it. I'd heard that the glut of Black Panther series - based on the popularity of Coates' series - watered down the Black Panther name, made it harder to keep up with the series, and just burnt people out.   In addition, I'd add that they were stretching the stories, and they ended up just not being all that compelling.

I did not feel this at all.   All the complexity of the original series seems to have been ditched, and I will not be continuing this series.

Reading progress update: I've read 128 out of 250 pages.
Avengers and Thunderbolts - Pierce Askegren

I made it to the halfway point!

We now have golden creepy people kicking superhero butts, specifically Vision and Captain America (who was pretending to be a regular guy named Roger Stevens, very creative). I feel like this book has too many superheroes in it. We get, at most, 5 pages with someone, and then it's time to switch over to someone else.
