Blog Tour w/Review - Gold Rush

Gold Rush
Jennifer Comeaux
Publication date: January 9th 2017
Genres: Contemporary, Young Adult

Liza Petrov’s entire life has been about skating and winning her sport’s top prize – Olympic gold. She’s stayed sheltered inside her bubble, not daring to stray from her destined path.
Until she meets Braden Patrick.
He makes her heart flutter with possibility, and for the first time she gets a taste of a normal teenage life. She longs to have both the boy and the gold, but stepping outside her bubble comes with a price. As Liza begins to question both her future and her past, can she stay focused on the present and realize her ultimate dream?

Braden & Liza meet at the concession stand over her siblings. The attraction is instant and mutual. Only this is going to be the busiest year of her life. Who has time for love?

Liza has never had a date, a kiss, a boyfriend. Rights of passage have been sacrificed for Olympic Gold. Is it worth it? Maybe this year she can find out how to make them both work out.

An amazing story with feels and emotions. I love, love, loved the skating and technical parts. This is one author I can count on to make it real. Did I mention there are feels? This book has everything for everyone, and a little bit more.

When she’s not writing, traveling, or calculating taxes, you can find her feeding her television addiction.

Nicola Cameron – Breaker Zone (Olympic Cove Book 2)
Breaker Zone (Olympic Cove Book 2) - Nicola Cameron

Reviewer: Victoria

Genre: M/M/M Paranormal

Review:
Breaker Zone is the second book in the Olympic Cove series by Nicola Cameron. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed without reading the first book in the series.

Dr. Nick Gardiner is on the run from his psycho ex and ends up visiting his friend Ian in Olympic Cove. Nick is a submissive who knows what he likes and needs in a relationship. However, Nick seems to struggle coping with few bad relationships he has had.

Aidan and Liam are mermen. They are mates in search of their third partner. They each have spent much of their time searching but have only recently come ashore to search. Liam is a Dom and seems very comfortable in charge. Aidan comes across as a switch. Both men knew as soon as they saw Nick that he was their mate, the issue was convincing Nick of it.

The connection between Nick, Aidan, and Liam is searing. They make a great triad. I loved that Liam took it slow to get Nick used to him. Also they fit each other very well, which was not really how Nick seemed to expect it to go. The sex scenes were sizzling.
I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were absorbing. While the ending was a little predictable, the journey was filled with twists and turns that kept me on my toes all the way through. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very captivating book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Don't Talk Bollocks to Basil, and other helpful advice for business owners
Will It Make the Boat Go Faster?: Olympic-Winning Strategies for Everyday Success - Ben Hunt-Davis,Ben Hunt-Davis

This is not a writing book. Instead, an Olympic rowing champion turned business coach and his partner take some established strategies for winning in sports and translate them into advice and exercies to take to your business practice. It can be anything – multi-million transnational corporation, an SME, or even, yes, writing. From motivating yourself, through realistic goal setting, through dealing with set-backs, all the way to actually winning, this was a treasure I was lucky to come upon while working this summer, and not just because it was well-written.
