Stone Cold Texas Ranger
Stone Cold Texas Ranger (Harlequin Intrigue) - Nicole Helm

Natalie's sister has been missing for 8 yrs. She spent all that time looking for clues and working her way into the Texas Rangers as a hypnotist. She assists with suspect interviews. After a suspect is murdered and her house burned she goes into hiding with one of the Rangers who doesn't like her.
The forced proximity and enemies to lovers was decently done. This one had some nice action/suspense scenes.

I read this for Romance-opoly Soldier Street moon track

Review ~ Awesome!
May Day - Scott Bell

Book source ~ ARC. My review is voluntary and honest.

Texas Ranger Sam Cable’s boss has sent him to pick up a prisoner out in California and bring her back to Texas to face charges of murdering her cop boyfriend. So he takes off with his pilot, DPS Trooper Marlon Boggs and away they go. Sam hates flying in the tiny Cessna, but Boggs gets him there easy peasy and in one piece. They pick up their prisoner and head for home. And that’s where things get real interesting.

If you are looking for a smartass hero with stubborn to spare who can think fast on his feet then look no further. This is the story for you! The first couple of chapters set the scene and then it’s non-stop action until the end. What a ride! After reading book 1 April’s Fool, my fingers were itching to open this one because I just knew I was going to love it. Holy shit, was I right! Scott Bell really knows how to put the reader in the shoes of his characters with just the right amount of description to keep the flow fast-moving and not bogging it down. Awesome characters, an interesting world, ass-puckering action, and a mystery to solve are just what I needed to escape the daily grind. Bravo!

Arctic Heat (Frozen Hearts #3) - Annabeth Albert

This is book #3, in the Frozen Hearts series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To fully understand series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Owen has a new look on life after cancer.  He volunteers to help in the deep cold of Alaska for the winter.  He has to get used to being mostly alone.  Just him and Quill.  Cold and sexy man can be a great combination.

Quilleran AKA "Quill"  is mostly fine being alone.  Being hurt in the past has shaped how he has spent the last couple decades.  Is it time to let someone in?  Owen might be a city boy, but he is proving himself to be a great team member.

This book is what you call a slow burn.  I loved reading about these guys.  They have so much to learn and together it just seems simple.  There is quite a lot of sparks and heat for how cold it is there.  Great addition to the series.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

The Defender: RYDER (Cover Six Security, #3)The Defender: RYDER

by Lisa B. Kamps

This is book #3, in the Cover Six Security series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ryder has a complicated past with Hannah. When he runs into her as he is trying to do right by his cranky sister - it is a shock for both of them. He has no idea why he reacts so strongly to her. Maybe they can forgive and move on?

Hannah is still attracted to Ryder. She has no idea how to react to him. It seems he can sense her feelings and it makes her uncomfortable. When disaster strikes, she is glad he is nearby.

This series is always delivering the unexpected. These characters find themselves in way over their heads. Sexy men who are also capable is handy. I loved the banter and thought processes. There was a pretty good pace and a lot of action.

Fantastic Western Romance
Beware the Ranger - Debra Holt

Beware The Ranger by Debra Holt is a great second-chance western romance.  Ms. Holt has given readers a well-written book.  I love the characters.  Kaitlyn is a famous actress on Broadway.  Clay is a Texas Ranger.  When Kaitlyn and her friend make a stop in Texas on their way to New Mexico, Clay is tasked with bringing her home because her grandmother is ill.  Clay and Kaitlyn's story is loaded with drama, humor and spice.  I enjoyed reading Beware The Ranger and look forward to reading more from Debra Holt in the future.  Beware The Ranger is book 1 of the Texas Lawmen Series but can easily be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
