Keeping Her Secrets - Maddie Wade

Asher AKA "Ash" is so attracted to Mustique AKA "Mari" he can barely contain his reaction to her.  She seems to feel the same way.  So why does she turn him away?  Why not take a chance?  He wants to be there and help Mari, if he can.

Mari has a lot more to lose with this current mission.  She is afraid to ask for help.  She does not want to put the few she cares about in danger.  It would help if she could resist the charm and sexy man that is Ash.  He distracts her.

This was such a fast pace and action filled story.  I loved how every chapter had something the keep my interest.  Teasing me with some of my favorite characters from other series, I loved getting a glimpse of them throughout the book.  With multiple surprises and some serious badass characters, I turned each page eagerly.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Revival
Sinner's Salvation - Jessica Ames

April has loved Chris for years, and he really doesn't see her.   When he comes into her place of work he has his own purpose.  She just wishes that he could notice her as a woman and not a nurse.

Chris has wanted April for such a long time.  He cannot forgive himself for those he has hurt by his past actions.  Hard to move on, and hard to include someone in his misery.  The yearning seem pointless.

This was such an amazing book!  I loved the clear cut trope of protector and innocent.  The story was laid out with a fast pace.  I was particularly excited by the mention of some of my favorites from the Trident Security series.  What a great idea this was.  Having trouble putting the book down, I was moved by how determined the characters were.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Hurt
Knot a Chance - Samantha Cole

This is book # 3, in the Doms Of The Covenant series.  This story can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and gain a complete understanding of this amazing series, I recommend reading them in order.  I also recommend reading the Trident Security series first.

Cassandra AKA Cassie is completely in love with Stefan.  He is not interested in anything long term, and has made his choice clear.  She decides it is time to back away from something that can go nowhere.

Stefan does not understand why Cassie is no longer interested in a contract with him.  After she walks out of his life, he starts to realize how much of a part of it she really was.  Then when the worst happens, she is the first to be there to help him.

This was an excellent addition to the series.  I loved reading about these characters and getting to know them better.  Loved having the Sexy Six Pack inside this book as well.  The story was at a good pace, and the humor & heat were just the right touch.  I give this great read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Madhouse: A Suspenseful Horror, Don't Talk to Strangers by Miguel Estrada
Madhouse: A Suspenseful Horror - Miguel Estrada

Madhouse: A Suspenseful Horror, Don't Talk to Strangers by Miguel Estrada is a frightening book. It's about eleven-year-old Lucas, a runaway because of his parent's pending divorce.

He's picked up by a woman who promises to provide a loving family for him.

Things are not always what they seem. I gave it four stars.

He sneaked out of the house after his parents were sleeping.

"Lucas wasn't afraid of the night. It was the darkness that made his hairs stand on end, but he didn't have to worry about it at the moment, all of the streets were brightly lit."

I received a complimentary Kindle copy in an Amazon promotion.

That did not change my opinion for this review.
