P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I've Loved Before) - Jenny Han

This is book #2, in the To All The Boys I've Loved Before series. This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For complete understanding of the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Lara Jean's story continues as she navigates high school, loving boys, and family obligations.  At the heart of her she is serious, and honest.  Her back and forth with Peter is challenged in this installment by the appearance of John.

Peter is trying to understanding the changes and speed of life.  When his love becomes a triangle he is so confused and angry.  Mostly he is hurt that it was even possible.  Sure, he stays in touch and tries to help his ex, Genevieve.  He never thought Laura Jean would walk away.

This book was so full of action I actually read it twice.  The pace is rather fast once it gets going, and the characters are all caught up in the action that consists of high school and getting ready for later in life.  I love the banter, and there is such a sweet heat between the main characters I am rooting for them!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This film was done very well and the pace moves along quickly.  I thought that the story was represented and in my opinion, shows about an 80% or so accuracy to the book itself.  If you have not read my book review prior to this, (CLICK HERE to read book review now!)

Anyone who has read the book prior to watching this fun movie is looking for some of those fun Easter Eggs that are common in today's media.  If that is the case there are a few to look for - including another of the author's books!

I absolutely loved the story at its base.  Lara Jean and Peter touched my heart in a way that just cannot be compared.  I wanted to do justice by them and review both the book and the movie so my readers could see that book adaptions can be done well.  By the ratings and the volume of those watching I think I am in good company!  I give this adaptation a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Book 1

I Picked Up This Book Because: My cousin is totally in love with the movie so I want to watch it but I also needed to read the book first.

The Characters:

Lara Jean Song Covey:
Margo “Gogo”, Kitty, Peter Kovensky, Josh

The Story:

The book description on Goodreads seems… insufficient. Yes Lara Jean’s break up letters get out and she has to deal with that but it seems to be only a small part of the story. I feel like this story deals a lot more with the relationships between Lara Jean and her sister Margo as she transitions to college in Scotland. Lara Jean and her neighbor/best friend/crush Josh. Lara Jean and Peter Kovensky who have a sorted past and present. The ending seemed rather abrupt. I know there is a sequel but it didn’t seem to really end.

The Random Thoughts:

The Score Card:

3.5 Stars

Solid
To All the Boys I've Loved Before - Jenny Han

Lara Jean Song has a lot on her plate as a sixteen year old girl in high school.  She lost her mother when young, and lives with her father and two sisters.  Her older sister is going away to college, and Lara Jean feels like this could be her year.  Until love letters she has kept hidden somehow get sent to the boys she wrote them to.

Along the way she rekindles a friendship with Peter, and maybe Josh.  She intends to solve the mystery of how the letters got out.  She also finds out what makes a teenager popular.  This is a story of more than just romance.  It is a yearning and a growth.

I was a bit sad to find that the book itself is quite thorough and varied and had split the attention away from more than just the main character.  After a while it grew on me and I just enjoyed the humor and "cultural" and teenage funnies.  As for what happens, well there are more books to this series, and I intend to read them.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

AMAZING
To All the Boys I've Loved Before - JennyHan

HI EVERYONE!

Sorry i havent been on lately. I have started studying so I have not be able to write reviews so I'm going to write a couple and post them throughout the week!

TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE BY JENNY HANN

REVIEW

To all the boys I've loved before is a book I read because there was a movie coming out. But I've always wanted to read this book ages a go but where I live, there isn't many books that are exciting like this book.

I feel like I can personally relate to the main character in the book. Lara Jean is a character that's awkward, creative and is quite the girly girl. She's awkward when it comes to boys and what to do when they like her. I can relate so much hahaha.

When Peter K wanted to fake date her, she was so taken back and agreed to do it anyway to make his ex girlfriend Gen Jealous. Scandal! But then they start falling for each other!

Overall this book is corny but in a good way! It's so good! I loved how it is written!

Jenny Hann, my girl, you're an angel!

5000000000000000/5 stars :)

-Sarah.
