My Thoughts - Story
Well this is the end, my friends…I’m so so sad to see this series go and with it all my friends – Frano, Jagger, Rita and so many others.

We have been through the ups and downs of Rita – first being thrown in as a sex slave, then being taken by Frano, by learning she has secrets and a past hidden which revolves around the D’Angelo family.

We lived through Jagger and his abuse as a teen in the hands of the infamous Padre – then again everyone in this series wants Jagger and his pretty face.

And how about Frano…big tough Don of the D’Angelo family? Who does in fact have a soft spot for Rita but will he come out on top with the island falling apart around him?

Definitely can’t forget about Matteo and his comic relief he brings to the story….oh Matteo – if you were only on the ‘good guys’ side!

What about Christo/Padre – the twins from hell?  We met new families along the way…the Rossos, the Santinis, the Landi and so many more….ohhhhh and what about the Black Russian?  Where does his story continue?

Continue?  Yes, you did read that correctly – now the Santini have their own set of books…Remember Alessandro, the tattooed, pierced sex god?  His last name is Santini – maybe we will see our old friends again pop up in some of these books?

But this series isn’t just special to me because of the characters in the book….this series is so special because it brought so many real friends in my life….Brain storming with Marita – and nearly wanting to pull my hair out with her stubbornness (love you) chatting it up with Andrea, Chippy, Jahy, Carla, Angie, Elaine, Carla, Rosanna and so many more!  The times Jahy I were editing and having so many laughs with our re-writes! Maybe crack a few jokes about special scenes in the book?

We have formed a bond through this one author, Marita; bonds that will probably never be broken all from a set of books.

So, my friends, I am sad to see this end…or maybe is it just the beginning?

Overwhelmed (Blurred Lines #1)
Overwhelmed (Blurred Lines #1) - Marita A. Hansen I fell for the blurb, thinking it was a fluffy threesome erotica.
I read my books for escape, I´m not a fan of reading biographies, so this wasn´t for me.
If you like your erotica with a large dose of everyday realism, juggling homelife with dishes, homework, depressed children etc. this could be for you.
Sorry it didn´t work for me.

Publication Date – August 14, 2014

Type – No Cliffhanger Series

Genre – Romance, Dark, Mafia

Rating – 4 out of 5 Stars

Instead of giving the story away - I decided to document my feelings on this book. Especially since you all know that I have a special place in my heart for Marita and her books.  Again she amazes me with her ability to write about action, the mafia and dark subjects.

At first I was like ....

And then when Bianca came into the picture it was like....

But then Ivy and Ricardo's mom had to show up

And then we read what Ivy does next....

Ohhhh....that just takes the cake and I so want Bianca to be like...

but with all the posturing and the fighting....do you think this will end with a

Definitely the beginning of a wonderful series off-shooting from My Masters' Nightmare.  I see this series just getting better and better and can't wait to see what happens in Brando!!

Overwhelmed (Blurred Lines #1) by Marita A. Hansen
Overwhelmed (Blurred Lines) - Marita A. Hansen

It was a chance meeting
That changed everything

Before only one man loved me
Now two do

One is my husband
The other a lover

I didn’t cheat
We had a threesome

But the problem was what followed
My lover wanted more than one night

My husband got angry
My lover got dirty

And I got overwhelmed

So my shift finished at 4am this morning and all I could think about was finishing this book, so I thought I would stay up and finish this, while waiting for my children to get up for the normal morning routine for school etc (before I could even think about sleep) I just had to finish this book, I had to know what was going to happen and when I read the last page, I was feeling a little disappointed and that wasn't because of Kelly's choice or the ending. I guess I was a little disappointed in how much of an awkward feeling I got while reading this, especially the threesome and even the foursomes. Instead of feeling all hot and flustered (lol) I felt more embarrassed and quite uncomfortable.

I didn't really like Kelly from the start, but she did grow on me a bit by the end. I hated how she complained about her husband and how everything was about her writing, that she lacked in a bit of everything especially when it came to sex with her husband she was more interested in thinking about her books, writing, facebook updates etc yet she didn't display that same sort of attitude with Eric.

I really liked how this story was based on a couple who have been married and settled for a while with a pre-teen and teenage children but still quite young in their late 30's.

This was just an okay read for me, which saddens me as Marita is one of my favourite authors. I have loved all her books I have read so far especially the behind the lives series but this one, just didn't sit well with me. It won't stop me from reading the second one though. I'm still keen to know what happens between these 3.
