Book Review for Ruthless Sentinel (Vicious Vipers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition by Lynn Burke
Ruthless Sentinel (Vicious Vipers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition - Lynn Burke

We really enjoyed this story as it had really great characters that were fun and flirty and they made you laugh.

The more we read this series the more and more we fall in love with it's characters.Stone was one of those characters that you loved from the onset of the story although serious he was funny, sexy as sin, handsome, rugged and one of those who does not shy away from feigning interest in a women who he is lusting after and yet, has no business wanting but, can't help obsessing over a women he cannot have.I loved him as I thought he was frig-gen hilarious as he was fighting his feelings and sexual desires!
"It made for a whole lot of laughs!"
"He reminded me like a fish on a hook!"
lol

Giada was our favorite character as she was witty and defiant ,one who chose her own path, had a huge heart ,suffered bullying and abuse and betrayals and was full of sadness and had a sh** family other than her siblings yet, she still carved out a successful life and remained sane through it all but, did not become a bitter person in the process. Giada was beautiful and kind and caring and was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

Overall the story was a really good one that was full of action and suspense, pretty much from the onset of the story and kept you glued to the pages to the very end.The story also had great characters that were engaging and funny and interesting and we are loving getting to know these new character's and we are looking forward to reading the other members stories. The story took a bit of a twist and one that we did not see coming and we like when that happens and we also loved that fact that opposites attract and these two had amazing chemistry and yet, end up perfect for one another.
This was one hot sexy read!

Fighting for love, loyalty, and freedom on the galaxy's lawless outer rim...

When Quinn Bennett's exploration ship is attacked, the security chief finds herself abducted by alien slavers. Unable to save her crew, she is taken across the galaxy and sold to a desert scavenger on the lawless planet of Carthago. Driven by her guilt and failure, she'll do anything to escape and save the other abductees from her ship. Chained and forced into servitude, she's waiting for her chance to strike, when across a dusty trading post, she comes face to face with a big, cyborg gladiator.

Jaxer Rone's loyalty is to his imperator--the man who saved him from a lethal cyborg military program. Jax works tirelessly for his gladiatorial house and would die for his fellow cyborgs. His emotional dampeners have never functioned well, but while he feels some emotion, he never lets it get in the way of his duty. Right now, his mission is to find the stolen humans from Earth. But when he rescues the fierce, relentless Quinn, he starts feeling a rush of emotion he's never experienced before.

Quinn and Jax join forces to track down the aliens holding the other Earth women captive. Side by side, they venture into the desert and uncover a desire hotter than the desert suns. But the aliens who captured Quinn want her back. In order to protect Quinn, will Jax embrace his newfound feelings or shut them off to keep her safe?

While cyborgs might not feel emotions or feelings like others, they understood loyalty.11% - Sentinel

Sentinel is book one in the Galactic Gladiators; House of Rone series by Anna Hackett.

This new series is in the same world as her Galactic Gladiators. Here we get to dive into the House of Rone; which is the home of the Cyborgs. They have been an active member with the House of Galen in locating the human’s captured and enslaved

I loved the House of Galen and was, so excited to meet the Cyborgs and get their stories. These are the men who are more machine then human.

Jaxer is one of the few Cyborgs who freely admits that he is more in touch with his emotions then most Cyborgs, yet he has no idea how much a human female can change his world.

Quinn is determined to escape her captors and find the others who were captured with her. She’s tough and determined.

This is another fast-paced standalone romance that was so much fun to read. Quinn was a delight and one of the authors more formidable females. She doesn’t know when to quit and she proves this time and time again. Jaxer and Quinn were perfect. They are such a kick-ass couple.

Jaxer and all the other Cyborgs were fun. I liked getting to meet the Cyborgs in the House of Rone. They each have unique abilities that make the action scenes that much more outstanding. The world Hackett has created just keeps expanding.

Sentinel was another fun, sexy, and all-around fabulous read. If you are looking for a Science Fiction Romance series to try then I highly recommend this spin-off series.

Audio Review: Code Name: Sentinel (Jameson Force Security, #2) by: Sawyer Bennett (author) Jason Clarke (narrator) Lucy Rivers (narrator)
Code Name: Sentinel (Jameson Force Security, #2) - Jason Clarke,Lucy Rivers,Sawyer Bennett

Bennett and her crew of undercover operatives took my emotions on a wild ride. Code Name: Sentimental thrills with dangerous manuevers, enticing attraction and heartstopping intrigue. Cruce is used to breaking the rules, but when living on the edge brings him face to face with his greatest temptation, all bets are off. Falling in love was never part of the plan, but romance rears it's head, the fallout could have deadly consequences. Clarke and Rivers turn on the heat.

Code Name: Sentinel - Sawyer Bennett

Cruce Britton used to work in the Secret Service protecting Jonathan Alexander, then Vice President of the United States.  Now Jonathan is the President of the United States and has requested that Cruce and his boss, Kynan McGrath, owner of Jameson Force Security, fly into Washington D.C. for a private meeting.

The President is concerned about some chatter that was intercepted regarding the groundbreaking work that his niece, Barrett Alexander is working on and would like to hire Cruce to be her personal security.  Of course Cruce agrees.

Barrett is used to being in her own little world.  Most of her days are spent doing research and that is fine to her so when her uncle informs her that she will be have 24/7 security she is not happy but agrees.  As Cruce and Barrett spend more time together the sparks begin to fly!  When a kidnapping attempt is made, Cruce decides to take Barrett to a hidden destination which happens to be on a private tropical island.....now the real fun will begin!  Being secluded together will push them just enough to give into their desires.  Just when it looks like they may have found their perfect match, outside forces come in to blow everything apart.  It will take two very determined individuals to be able to win against this danger so Barrett and Cruce and finally get their happy ending.

I just adored Cruce...tall, dark and perfect!  I loved how he was so drawn to the quirky, nerdy Barrett.  Barrett is beyond smart and some might say naive to the ways of the world but deep down she is a good person.  I loved how Cruce was able to make her see that there are other parts to a life than just work.  Together they just worked.

Code Name: Sentinel

(Jameson Force Security, Book #2)

Sawyer Bennett

Release Date: September 10, 2019

Synopsis:

As a former member of the United States Secret Service, I’m no stranger to putting my life on the line in the name of duty. Having left the nation’s capital to re-settle in Pittsburgh, the skills I acquired during my tenure in Washington have made me a valued member of the team at Jameson Force Security. But when the President comes seeking a favor to protect his niece, I find myself on the fast track back to the Oval Office.

Simply put… she’s beyond brilliant. A nationally renowned energy scientist, Barrett Alexander is on the verge of a breakthrough that will change the world. Unfortunately, that has also made her the target of a suspected terrorist cell. And while Barrett doesn’t believe she’s in any real danger, the President isn’t willing to take chances with her life.

As the threats against Barrett become more calculated, I decide taking her on the run is her best chance of survival. Danger, isolation, and attraction ensure we grow closer than I’d ever thought possible. When I realize I want to keep her safe for reasons that have nothing to do with my job and everything to do with the woman I’ve fallen in love with, no one is safe from the hell I’ll rain down on those that threaten her.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #2, in the Jameson Force Security series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to better understand the series, I recommend reading it in the order intended.

Cruce is proud to be a part of a new group. While different, yet still the same intention, he works well with his team and glad to do it. Then he meets his new assignment. She is sure to be a challenge, but he vows to keep her safe.

Barrett is having a hard time believing anyone would need to harm her. She barely lives - so what is to come to her to accomplish? Her ideas can be great, but until she puts them into action it still seems awfully premature. Then the unspeakable happens......

This couple was just a spark, dare I say a kiss, away from igniting. They are both professionals who take their jobs seriously. Like all of this author's books - it is fast paced while at the same time sexy as hell. Only this one was more subtle than most. I found the story extremely interesting. While the leads playing off one another sealed the deal for me. This was a great addition to the series.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.

Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.
